I'm 5'3 and when this is on full blast (both rings are turned on) I can barely feel anything. My husband who is 6'0 can feel the heat but only when he is standing right under it. All in all don't get this if you actually want it to keep you warm like a propane heater. The ups are that we dont have an outdoor light and this fell into the same price range as an outdoor lamp (actually cheaper). Its not super bright but gives off a nice glow so we can see (similar to candle light) outside at night and not be in the dark. We recently remodeled our fireplace, using some beautiful mosaic travertine tile on the facing and a slab of tan brown granite on the hearth. I spent quite a bit of time looking for a fireplace screen and wanted something with character. Originally I wanted a flat screen that would fit flush with fireplace opening, but when I saw this one I changed my mind. The screen is well-made, quite heavy, and a great choice!This screen arrived totally assembled and exactly as pictured. It is surprisingly heavy and of excellent quality. Love the design and would highly recommend it. It looks beautiful on our fireplace hearth.

These are by far the best little fire starters I have ever used. They beat the larger blocks hands down. We live in a rural area and frequently have fallen trees to burn. A helpful camper in Vermont showed up about the "Zip Firestarters". We were having problems getting our campfire going because the wood was a little damp. He came up, said he had the solution and popped a little rectangle piece of something into our struggling fire. Amazing, the fire started blazing and we had no more problems. The fellow camper was from Canada and he had bought the Zip Firestarters at Walmart in Canada. He gave us 4 more of the little plastic wrapped pieces of whatever and we never had a problem with starting a fire. These are not the same thing, but are made by the same company and hopefully will do the same trick. I am happy that Amazon had these. We haven't tried them out yet, but will be shortly as we are leaving on our RV trip. I will update the results then. But, if these do perform the same, I will be very happy. I tried everything to get the exact product, but no luck, guess I'll have to go to Canada! Again, if these work and I'll soon know, then I'll be a happy camper. I am living Iowa city, and the weather is getting colder and colder. So, I bought this small heater to get extra heat for my bedroom. It actually runs very loud, which is quite annoying for me. Moreover, I don't believe the "thermostat" works at all. The manual delusively says that the "thermostat" can be used to maintain the temperature. It is not true. I have to turn it on and off manually... However, it is cheap. For that reason, we probably should not have high expectation.
