I was really excited to receive this item. I saw it listed on other sites for a much higher price, so I decided to go with this seller. The item arrived in three separate packages. Which was great since I am a single woman and wouldn't be able to lift one whole box. Setup was fairly easy. Its just a bunch of screws and brackets. It took be about an hour to assemble. The thing that I am not happy about is the quality of the wood (its cheap particle board crap), and how it looked once assembled. There are alot of gaps in areas where pieces of wood should sit flush against each other. There are also gaps around the fireplace, so it looks ridiculous when I turn a light on in my living room, and it shines through the gaps. I have to put black duct tape to fill the gaps so this won't happen. Also, its not very sturdy. Once I had it assembled, I used furniture gliders to move it to the right place, and I had to be really careful because the wood would shift around as I pushed/pulled it. I don't think this thing will last long, but the fireplace is beautiful for it being electric.I love this piece of furniture. At first, we received 3 boxes to put it altogether. After all the pieces were laid out on the floor of our living room, we discovered one of the pieces was incorrect. After several emails (7)and attempts(3), we received the correct part to complete this unit. It's beautiful and all in working order.
