We purchased this grate for a smaller fireplace with an old worn and disintigrating grate. It fit purfectly and seems to be a very sturdy cast iron. Holds the logs well, even though it is not as large as other models. Holds about 3 large logs on top of smaller kindling for a nice fire. Very satisfied!
