Looks grate (pun intended). Very heavy duty. Shipping was surprisingly fast and inexpensive especially since this item was pretty heavy. Very satisfied.The Black Franklin grate met all of my needs and fit perfect in the fireplace. The product is made of quality material.We purchased this grate for a smaller fireplace with an old worn and disintigrating grate. It fit purfectly and seems to be a very sturdy cast iron. Holds the logs well, even though it is not as large as other models. Holds about 3 large logs on top of smaller kindling for a nice fire. Very satisfied!

I bought this product less than a year ago and was stunned to find that it was leaking badly. Had I not encased my very expensive new mattress in plastic as I did when I first purchased it a year ago, my new mattress would be ruined and full of mold. That's a lot of loss to bear for any consumer. Most people do not use plastic around their mattresses, so for most people, having a product leak like this, could be catastrophic. I sleep alone and don't do gymnastics on my bed. No pets have access to my bedroom. I have treated this product with kid gloves from day one (I did not even wash it when it first arrived for fear of damaging the tubing). I even use a mattress pad over the Chilipad just to give myself added protection between myself and this extremely expensive product. I am well under the weight limit and can't think of any reason whatsoever that would make this product leak.

Despite Lowes' website's claim of having this product available by the end of October, it did not come to pass and the local store informed me that is was on backorder from the manufacturer until December! I came here, found this, ordered it and before the week was out, we received it. Nothing fancy but sturdy (on concrete) and I was happy. At least until recently when we had some strong winds come through the area. If you are looking for an inexpensive fire-wood-stacking solution, this is it. The rack is made up of hollow metal tubes, screwed together. The height off of the ground is very good, though the only contact with the ground is 6 small feet (see picture). So, if you intend on putting this on ANYTHING other than a concrete slab, you will need to set this on wide bricks or pressure treated wood to keep it stable. I found that out pretty quickly when one rack tipped over because the feet sunk unevenly into the ground that I had it on. Luckily, I was not nearby when it happened. We live in the North East and our old log rack cover only had Velcro closures. The wind and snow always got under the cover and blew it around a lot. Also, the material was a much thinner plastic. Price was right. Arrived prior to their estimate. Easy to put together. The only problem is after having up for one week and getting a little snow, I wiped the top off with my hand to clear the snow and found an 8 inch rip. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. However, I made a call to the customer service number (that took a couple time because nobody picked up for the "customer service" prompt). A nice lady by the name of Nancy listened to my complaint and, much to my surprise, said "I'm sorry you've having a problem". She went on to say that I was not the first customer to call about the flimsy material on the cover. She immediately offered to send me a new cover at no charge. She also mentioned that should I desire, I can purchase an upgraded canvas cover, normally 49.95 for 19.95. I would think that if the company knew there was a problem with the cover material that they would automatically upgrade the cover material. I think we'd all pay a little more for a quality product. I'm awaiting the cover to get here will probably be a while since we just got over 36 inches of snow. While I know the new cover will also at some point rip, I believe that this company cares about its customers. Nancy's prompt concern and attention tells me that.
