Was in the market for a gas fire pit table. Bought this unit after reviewing several on line. Delivery was quick. I would give high marks for that. However the box was bulky and heavy so my wife & I decided to open the main box and move the indivual packages to our backyard individually the round table top, a box containing the burner unit, screws and covers (for firepit & gas bottle), a box containing the stand panels, a box of fire glass (heaviest) and the lp tank drawer. Had I known that they provide the pit cover I would not need to buy another cover and spent extra $$$. The "faux wood" is actually sheet steel so are the stand panels. There are some rust stains on the stand panels when I received them. For the assembly, we uses a power drill with philips screw driver and a hand held philips screw driver (for areas where the drill-driver is too broad). The instructions are ok as long as you use some common sense and be really observant of the parts details. I have to disassemble and reassemble the stand as I put one panel upside down.(After assemblying tons of furniture, I think the Ikea instructions are the best). Some hole does not align perfectly between the stand and the table top and need to use some force to align them in order to fix the two together. Same issue was encountered when assembling the lp gas drawer to the stand. As to the final fitting of the door, we had to loosen some screws, readjust the panels and tighten them again so that the door can fit and close itself. BTW the door is held close by a magnetic latch. The pit cover fit snuggly over the table and covers to about 2" off the ground. All in it took my wife and I about an hour to get the job done. As for the workmanship, I think its made in China or some 3rd world place. As to appearance, it not as appealing as the brochure but I hope it works well. As to it's price, after all the hassle, I think they made a ton of money from this but there doesn't seem to be a less pricey similar unit. I'll just say not completely satisfied but also no violent resentment.

for $600 i expected something to be built a lot better, i already have to light it by hand as the burner blows itself out when i try to use the igniter. i have only had it 3 weeks.

We ordered this fire pit table last week and it arrived promptly. It took us approx. 45 minutest to put together, and it started right up. We've sat around it every evening since then. The fireglass looks lovely at night, the flame gives off the right amount of heat when it's around 55-60 degrees outside, and the table is perfect for making s'mores! It's definitely the best investment we've made this year for entertainment and enjoyment. Follow the lighting instructions in the door to make it easy on yourself.

This is a beautiful piece for outside, but it came without the glass kit that was said to be in box. Just waiting on that.

Got this back in late June 2013. Went together just fine, but it didn't work for me right away. I found out after calling the company that you can't turn on t propane on more than one turn, otherwise it will vapor lock (or something like that). Once I got that figured out, it worked fine. UNTIL I had to change our the tank. When that happened, I grabbed my tank from my grill (which was nearly full and working fine). Result: couldn't get it started. Tried all kinds of things, contacted the company 3 times, went through their recommendations over the phone, still didn't work. We have no idea why. So they ordered a replacement part in the ignitor system. It's been backordered for over 2 months. I asked if I could just replace the whole bowl system which includes the ignitor. Nope, it's also backordered. Of course, this is the nice time of year to use the fire pit and it still doesn't work. Not happy at all. Overall, it was OK when it worked (even if finicky), but this is ridiculous. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend purchasing this item.
