The wrong item shipped, but on contacting the seller, I was informed that it was the correct item but the wrong photo on the item description. BEWARE. This is not a "modern"-looking fireplace tool set at all. Verify that you will be getting the proper item (as shown); otherwise do not order. Seller, however, DID provide a FULL REFUND, including shipping charges, to make good on my displeasure. Therefore, I must give the seller credit. However, be careful.

This tool set has the look and function I wanted, but the stand is too flimsy to hold them up straight. It pitches forward about 10 degrees and is wobbly. You assemble the stand yourself, so maybe more toying with it and some glue could help, but it's not a heavy iron stand. It's a coated metal. The tools are good though, and for the price I kept this item.

The reason I went for this product is because most look very bulky or have all the brassy bits on them that make them look super 'old person'. The wooded handles are a good accent and give it a modern look. The tools are made from sturdy enough material for our use.

You have to be careful when ordering this set. I, like some of the other reviewers, got a set other than the main picture shown a Mission-style set with wooden handles. I received (from AceHardwareOutlet) a cast iron set with hook handles (at the time of this writing there is a picture under the main pic posted by Thilo Wrede showing this set). This is not the 15037 set. The 15037 IS the Mission set with wooden handles.

I have returned the set for a full refund plus return shipping. The only way I know to insure that you are getting the wooden handled Mission set is to contact the seller and verify it.

P.S. I wish there was some way to post this info without giving a star rating something I am not qualified to do since I did not receive the correct set.

I just received my fireplace tool set in the mail. I was so happy about the price and thought it was going to be as nice as the photos. Instead My handles were different shades of wood (none of them matched), the tops of the handles looked damaged, the metal pieces that go onto the wood to protect it from fire was coming off instantly and the tong handle keep falling down. Also the appearance of the black looks like cast iron which doesn't look anything like the photo. I would have shipped it back, but the box was ruined during shipment. I wished I would have read the reviews!
