I am using it a little different than expected. I have the device mounted on the wall offset and lower from center (but still in a stud of course). What this allows me to do is actually have my tv flat against the wall and centered! with the illusion that it is hanging off a standard wall mount. Then I can pull it out, and move it around.. of course i measured and planned this all in advance to make sure it would work like that.

Takes a little adjustment, and you need to give a 2-3 days for the springs to break in so expect to tighten or loosen bolts over the first few days.

One thing that is important to know is that the two bolts that hold this whole thing up are very long.. like 5 inches or so if I remember, so just be careful there is nothing on the other side of your stud.

only dropped one star just because it took a good two hours to carefully install and mount everything. highly recommend having a friend help you do the finally mounting of the tv on the arm as I nearly hurt myself doing that..

Was a good sturdy mount, but the TV stuck out much further than advertised; About 8". some of the part bags did not match the nomenclature in the directions. But it's pretty obvious which part to use. 40 LB is def the limit on the weight. my 55" Samsung LED could only be held up when the max tension was set.

I ended up returning it because it stuck out so far.

At first taking it of the box, you wonder how this thing is going to work. You can't adjust it without it being on the wall and a Tv mounted on it. The trick is to mount the bracket on the wall in the center of the upward and downward coverage area of the Tv. From there, hang the Tv on the mount and utilize the full range of motion the mount provides. Great for a corner mount of a Tv.

I need a full motion TV mount because my living room has a fireplace and I do not want to mount my TV on top of the fireplace. It makes me feel uncomfortable if I am not watching TV at eye level, this mount work great for my setup and it fits my need. Make sure your TV is less then 40 Lbs and find a stud to mount the base.

Very well made and extremely versatile. Be careful and plan in advance before drilling any holes. Much better than the usual offerings.
