Excellent for our home in San Antonio, Texas and cabin at the ranch. In Valverde County, Texas, many ranches burned down, ours too. Need to buy another propane heater for another cabin built at the ranch. This style is hard to find. Have a natural gas heater, same style, at home for years and enjoy it in our den also. The hidden controls are great for the grandchildren, they can't find them. The design is so unique so that we don't have to put it away during the summer season. I love my electric teakettle! I use it all the time. This kettle is great quality for the price, and it heats water FAST. It is also very well insulated and has not affected any surface I put it on. The whistle is very convenient, and it will automatically shut off if the water has boiled dry. Great item, especially for a dorm room! I've had two of these kettles and like the design, the whistle, and the quickness with which it heats. However, both kettles eventually began to leak after a couple of years. If you buy one, I suggest making sure you pour out any remaining water once you've used it, and don't accidentally overfill. I am not sure which caused my leakage, but I'm buying another electric kettle of a different brand this time. Still for the price, I've been very happy with this kettle. It's a great little kettle, but unfortunately there is no on/off switch. It boils quickly and never bubbles over, but I don't like having to unplug it to turn it off.

This heater is really fantastic! It mounts on a wall socket in just second, and is removable just as fast. We heat a 16 X 12 three season room with just one of these heaters! They are a little noisy on high, but once the desired temperature is reached you can turn it down to a lower setting, and maintain the rooms temperature with less noise!! I agree with the Jan 18, 2005 review; the heater does not stay in the wall outlet. It falls out when you turn the knob to turn it off/on or after a few seconds on (from vibrations). Designed AND constructed in Canada, where they understand the need for staying warm! The design is brilliant but flawed by the assumption that all proper grounded bathroom 2-plug outlets will fit within their wall-mount box; the standard boxes our electricians installed a few months ago are too big, making it impossible to plug the unit in if you follow their instructions. However, good bathroom heaters are hard to find and it's easy to work around this (and other criticisms of this item): 1. Using the holes indicated on the wall-mount box, screw it into your bathroom wall anywhere within about 3-5 inches above your bathroom outlet (test in advance to be sure the short cord will still reach the outlet). We use 1.5 inch wood screws and happen to know that the wiring doesn't go above our outlet but you might want to adjust location depending on where your wires are in the wall. 2. Don't bother with the "dummy" plastic 3-hole piece they include; that's just to prevent you from accidentally overloading the outlet by using another device when the heater is on. If you need to remind yourself, it might work as a stand-alone dummy plug, or you could cap off the second outlet, or just remember and use common sense.

Loved this in the picture! Unfortunately it had a hairline scratch when we removed it from the box. As there was no damage to the outside of the box, I can only assume it was packed already damaged. Too bad, and being from Canada means we have to get it delivered close to the Canadian border and make a trip to pick it up. Not an easy solution to return. I love this little fireplace, and my mom who i bought it for loves it as well. The only downfall is you have to order the fuel online. I could not find it anywhere locally. It is beautiful, and light weight. It matches perfectly to the rest of our furniture. It looks just like the pictures on the website. The seller was responsive and shipping was fairly quick ordered on a Monday and item arrived on Saturday via FEDEX ground (CA to NJ). Installation was easy just a little measurement to center it and mark the two spots for drilling holes. I am a female homeowner and really appreciate the fact that it's fairly lightweight so I could install it myself. It's in my bathroom over the garden tub and it really creates a luxurious feel. I really liked the look of this fireplace. It was constructed just as well as other fireplaces from other manufacturers. The only real difference is that this fireplace doesn't have a fire protector on the back like others do. Although it would be easy to add something to the back. Even though I did not keep this particular item I would still recommend it to others who are in the market for fireplaces of this sort. The finish was a little to dark for the look I was trying to obtain in my room.

I purchased this product for my sister because she has my 8 month old niece sleeping in a room with insufficient heating. She had been using a different portable heater in the room but found if she left it on all night the room would get too hot. I purchased this for our new cat to keep her warm during the winter nights but I don't think it's what I was looking for. It just doesn't hold heat long enough. I warmed it up at about 9:30 pm (it doesn't get squishy, the stuff inside goes form rock hard to liquid, nothing in between)and placed it under a towel that was folded into fourths length-wise in the hope that it would be more comfortable and maybe stay warm and soft a little longer. At 7:00 in the morning it had hardened and I could just barely feel the slightest amount of heat when I put my hand directly on it. The cat loves it when it's warm, I just wish it had lasted longer. I purchased this product about a month ago. Following the instructions, I heated it by minute increments to get the proper amount of time to get it squishy and warm. On my microwave it was 8 minutes. I purchased this for our adopted feral at my office. Even though we are in Florida it has been really cold, so I thought this would be perfect for her outdoor shelter. So glad I tested it first. Followed the instructions and it only stayed warm for 2-3 hours, tested it again same result. BTY, I tested it indoors, so outside it would not have stayed warm even that long.

I ordered one of these at the same time my husband bought a different kind from farm and fleet. This is great quality and way more durable than the one he picked up. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it's a bit difficult to get up off the stove...the one my husband got had a little wire on it that made it easy to move.
