I purchased this from Toby's Tool Shed because the combined shipping with some furnace cement was the best deal I could find. However, the order was shipped in a box about 4x the size of the elbow and the two containers of cement were not packed to keep them stationary. Each 16 oz. container weighed about 2 lbs., they bounced around in the box they beat the daylights out of the pipe... and that's not small feat. Needless to say, the pipe was damaged.
The good news is that this elbow is made of 24 gauge steel and built like a tank. If you don't need a flexible elbow this is the best you can use on your stove because it will not leak or allow air to enter around the connections like a flexible elbow. I have a reverse pipe system on my Blaze King wood stove so the crimped end goes into the stove fitting. Most stoves have a system where the crimped ends point toward the chimney which makes for a better system since the gases are flowing with the connections and not against them. In my system you have to seal the joints with furnace cement and some screws or it will leak. The damage to the elbow I received was primarily on the crimped end and it's almost impossible to straighten this heavy metal.
I think this is a great pipe and prices here were less than those for a flexible elbow at the box stores.

For $26 its definitely worth the money. The temperature control isn't exactly the most accurate. You don't have a temperature scale just markings from off to hi. Runs real hot or not at all. With control knob set half-way it blasts out hot heat then turns itself completely off. If I try to reduce the heat, it doesn't turn on at all. I ordered this item because we have them in my office & they are very efficient and effective. I use it as a space heater in my bathroom because my bathroom pipes often freeze in the winter. i purchased this item because of unseasonably cold weather in south fl.i own two patton heaters purchased some years ago,one at k mart, the other at target.both seem well built and have worked very well. most stores were sold out of space heaters,so amazon.com seemed like a good alternative. i have no problem with amazon.com or the seller, . the product was shipped promptly and boxed very well.the problems with the new heater were,top two sheet metel screws to attach the handle fell thru the pre drilled holes, two of six screws holding the back housing on were stripped out, two of four rivets attaching the fan motor housing had pulled out. i compared the other two heaters i bought years ago to the new one,the one difference was machine screws holding the top handle on, not sheet metal screws. i needed the heater so i repaird the problems myself. bottom line is i never again will buy patton products [unless they start manufacturing there product in the U. These little heaters used to be very good. I would buy one about every three years because after that long the plug would start to get hot. I would just replace it with another one. The last one I bought the plug got hot after about 10 minutes use so I took it back. The replacement was worse. After 10 minutes use it was almost to hot to touch. They have obviously reduced the wiring size to a dangerous size. I would not recommend them now to anyone. They could start a fire, I think, if left on for an hour. I still have one I've used during the winter for the past two years and it does not get hot after using all day long.

I have a prefabricated fireplace with a 6 inch flue of metal pipe. Not only do I need to control HVAC efficiency in my home, I need to stop the wasps and yellow jackets from getting in my house. The fireplace has a flue damper but it has a tiny opening near the pivot and it lets them in. One option is to get a closing chimney cap but they are $200+, $700-800 if you have it installed. The Chimney Baloon does work as advertised but it is a pain to install in my type of unit. You need one hand on the extender (yes you need the extender) one holding a flashlight and the tube in your mouth all while positioning your body so you are watching what you are doing and making sure the ballon is positioned corectly. Be careful inserting it into your flue beyond the damper and watch out for sharp sheet metal screws. You inflate it to the point of beginning to seal then pull it down in order for it to seal properly. Otherwise if you dont watch it while inflating, it will inflate lop sided and leave a gap. If you pull it down gently it will seal but you have to have the right amount of pressure here. If the balloon was more rounded this would be less of a hassle. (hint hint to the manufacturer) It does work as advertised so I give it 4 stars. This worked very well, exactly as described. It stopped the draft immediately and the room is much more comfortable to be in now. It did take a couple tries to seat it correctly. I didn't want to purchase a popcorn popper with a cart since I didn't have room for the cart. This machine is GREAT! It truly does its job incredibly well. A few years ago we'd purchased a smaller home popper that had something like a 2 oz kettle & found that we had to pop several batches to get the desired amount--and by the time we actually got to eat it, over 1/2 of the bowl had cold popcorn.
The Paducah Popper pops crisp, tasty popcorn quickly. We've found that we don't need to use butter to add flavor because the popcorn tastes great just popped in regular canola oil.
My husband loves this Christmas present & it makes a great addition to his man cave. Other poppers I considered had tacky decor that just didn't fit our taste. I HIGHLY recommend this popper!

First, let me say that this machine performs magnificently!! I tried their smaller version, the "Little Bambino", which had problems, but this one is GREAT.The owner's manual states, "Add a suitable amount of butter or oil (Fig.1). While the amount is dependent upon your taste, please do not exceed 1/2 oz." (Based on the fact that they give you a measuring scoop rather than a scale, they apparently mean 1/8 of a cup (1 fl. oz.)and not 1 oz., which is 1/16 of a pound.)
The instructions on the door of the device states, "1 TBSP of oil for every 1/2 cup of popcorn". (For 1 cup of popcorn, this means 2 Tbs of oil, which is ONE fl. oz.)
Obviously you can't use 1 fl. oz. (as per the instruction on the door) without violating the first instruction's "do not exceed 1/2 oz."
So I emailed the manufacturer to find out which was right. The manufacturer (specifically, Randi, the Customer Service Manager) told me to use 1/3 the amount of oil as popcorn. That is, for one cup (8 fl. oz.) of popcorn, use 1/3 cup (~2.5 fl. oz.) of oil.
So now I have a choice. For one cup of popcorn, I can use either 1 fl. oz. or 2.5 fl. oz. of oil, but not more than 1 Tbs (1/2 fl. oz.).
They get 5 stars for the product but only 2 for the instructions and -3 for their ability to clear up the confusion.

We bought this for Christmas last year (2011). Its been used quite a bit and works like a champ. There is a big difference in the popcorn you use the pre-made packets that have everything in one pouch simply do not taste as good as using coconut oil and flavocal. I live in Alaska and heat with spruce exclusively; not because I can't afford fuel oil but because I like the quality of warmth of a Blaze King woodstove with a glass door. My stack is 25 feet high. I noticed that the cap on the stack had some closure of the vents and burned one of these logs. DON'T TAKE THE WRAPPER OFF THE LOG!! BURN IT WITH THE PLASTIC WRAPPER as it says in the instructions that I was too dumb to read before using the first log. Read the directions twice and follow them. Big improvement in my stack air flow. My friend uses them too and reported great results. After a house caught fire New Year's Day, 2010 in the next subdivision, I determined to burn one of these logs every two weeks during heating season. The house which burned to the ground had a stack fire. A real stack fire sounds like a jet engine when all that creosote catches fire and will scare the hell out of you.

I burned one of these in January last season. After a couple days I started hearing creosote falling. On a warmer day I shut the stove down and opened the clean out and got a good bit of creosote out. I went to clean out my chimney after last season and my brush got seriously wedged in the top of the chimney,after I finally got it out I looked in there with a flashlight and there was only creosote at about the top 1 foot of the chimney and a very small amount lower down. The stuff was so loose I was able to knock it all out with the brush rod. Got it clean as a whistle. This season I will use one every 2 months like the box says. The Creosote Sweeping Log works very well. They light readily and burn well, treating the existing creosote on the inside of the stove and chimney. I use two of these logs through out the burning season. It does loosen up the soot build up making it easier the clean the chimney, which I do once a year with a stiff chimmney brush. The product does work..no doubt. But I think it has rather slow results and for the usage it's expensive. But I guess it's paying for convenience. All you have to do is light a match. Seems to work better with a good draft going (an existing fire) before adding the log. But I think the Rutland 44 remover is a better deal, but if you only need an occasional creosote 'tune-up' this will work. I'd have given 4 stars except for the cost per use.

We saw this advertised in a Jewish Newspaper and were intrigued. We bought the larger size pot when we realized that they both had the same " footprint " and the larger size took up no extra space on the counter-top, the difference in volume being made up in the height of the unit, not the width or depth. It's a very cool looking unit. The design makes certain issues of Hachzorah and Hamtanoh easier. The little plastic switch cover looks neater than putting aluminum foil over the controls as we have done on out other crock pots. The instructions aren't really explicit as to how to use the Blech component, but anyone familiar with Hilchos Shabbos shouldn't have a problem. If in doubt, contact your LOR ( local Orthodox Rabbi ) If you are used to using a conventional crock pot, the cooking times are somewhat different and it does take some trial and error to get it right. Overall we are very happy with the unit. Very easy to keep clean. We give it 5 stars. There is nothing on the market to compare.

I had to speak with my contractor prior to purchasing this item because I knew that it would be too tall to sit on top of my hearth. When I was ready to install it, my contractor and his carpenter came back to cut the legs down to the height I needed (lower part of the leg right above the plinth blocks you can't tell they were trimmed). I used this with ProCom Dual Fuel Stove 25,000 BTU, Model# QD250T also purchased on Amazon. It worked fine for the nook that I put the stove in.The line is pretty short, but that is ok. I would rather keep the line short so it does not kink. I see some dryers that have been hooked up to propane and the flexible gas line is all 'mashed' in the corner.
Put the valve on the black pipe, put some pipe dope on the connections. Came with 3 different fittings, but only used one and put the others in my spare parts box... you never know when you need one of these do dads..

I purchased this fireback after we lost power with Sandy for a week with the idea it would make my fireplace interior look nicer and project warmth from my gas fireplace into our livingroom. After considering other heavier and larger firebacks which we thought would fit the space better, I decided to try this one for it's attractive traditional design and although it was abit smaller, and lighter it does the job very well of adding warmth to our room. It was somewhat less expensive also, but is very adequate and attractive. I would recomend it for these reasons!It's added a nice charm to the fireplace, along with protecting the fire box and helping to send heat into the house.
