I admit I was skeptical when I first saw this product but after using it for a little while, I am completely delighted by it. Set-up was incredibly easy, less than an hour. You need two people so one can hold the heavy pieces while another does the easy install. (I recommend wearing regular winter gloves during install so the glass doesn't get fingerprints all over it.) The two items you'll need to buy are a funnel so the fluid can easily be inserted into the reservoir and long, fireplace matches or a long lighter.
This fireplace is perfect for a family room or bedroom. It generates some heat but the draw is the beauty of the flames. I feel safe with it as the wall around it never raises in temperature. We have a young child and I am not worried about it, although of course he is supervised around it. It really makes the living room a real living area. As promised, the fluid burns clear with absolutely no odor or residue.
