I have a 3 story Beach House on the WA coast. It gets a little chilly on the first floor entry hall even in summer evenings. I bought this unit to take the cool edge off. It is fairly easy to assemble, though package is a bit heavy (recommend opening box and carrying pieces inside one-by-one). Be sure your wall socket is offset from the insert or you will have to move it upward like I did or use an aftermarket recessed outlet)because the insert fits tight againt the wall. The unit looks bigger in the brochure, but was perfect size for me because I want a TV wall-mounted above. There are lots of adjustment options for temp and light/firelog brightness! Very beautiful effect and emanates quality. Has dark glass front nice effect! Love it

On the negative side; when putting together none of the holes line up and the mortar used to form the rock is very delicate tends to crack and flake. When Assembling the mantel one of the bolts kept falling out had to end up glueing it in. Also fire box does not screw into the structure anywhere when bumped it does slip out and has to be pushed back in. The overall looks is okay and it does work for heat. The fireplace is beautiful and puts out great heat. It fit perfectly in our basement cut out and really completes the look of the basement living room.
