I looked locally for some long fireplace and candle matches, without any luck. ( I remember finding these easily years ago). I was delighted when I found them on amazon.com and am very pleased with these matches. To me, they work much better than the extended bendable lighters.

These matches are great! The only thing that I don't like is that when the fire spreads along the stick, the part that's burned falls off onto the floor or wherever.

They light things on fire. Not much else to them.

For some reason I couldn't find long matches at the store nearby, just normal small ones and then a medium-length box, maybe half the length of these. I could have continued looking at other stores, since I'm sure someone has them, but frankly it's easier to just order from Amazon.
