I ordered two of these. One arrived in perfect condition, the other was broken. The company I ordered from was very responsive and immediately shipped a new one, but it, too, was broken upon it's arrival. At that point the company did not want to send another one. The item is good. I like the cast iron a lot and really wish the other one would have worked out. I bought a low-end, non-cast iron one at Target and it works, but seems more flimsy and I doubt it will last as long.

We had hoped that this cast iron grate would hold up longer than it did. It burned through in the middle shortly after we received it.this is an excellent bargain. my fireplace is fairly small and i have not been able to find a grate anywhere locally that would fit it. we needed one badly because having been forced to use the old one so long, the center supports had burned completely away. this grate fits perfectly and is sturdy. we are very pleased.Want Panacea Products Corp 18' Blk Cast Iron Grate 15418 Fireplace Grates & Andirons Discount?
This is good grate if you have very small logs. If the logs are longer than the sides of the grate they will not burn properly. Otherwise it is a very heavy duty grate as it's cast iron. If it did not have the sides on it, it would be terrific.
