Dear Amazonians,

I am burning one of these Crackleflame logs in my fireplace as I am writing this review, and I can tell you that I smell no foul odor! I don't know what the other reviewers experienced when using this product, but there are no negative effects from using these logs. And, there is a pleasant crackling sound to go along with the bright flames. No smell, not boring, just right. I recommend these firelogs!

I love how easy it is to light these and that they do provide warmth without too much smoke. The crackling sound is very realistic. However they have a chemical smell, which is bad enough to take 2 stars away, same thing with the regular duraflame logs. I throw pine cones in my chiminea periodically while the duraflame burns and that helps considerably but if you're not lucky enough to live in an area that has them I'd recommend adding some cinnamon sticks, or cedar to help cover it up.

I have really enjoyed the fire logs. They don't really crackle that much, but it is still a very nice fire. For some reason we are not able to buy Duraflame logs in Houston except for at CVS (very low stock) . I have been looking for the duraflame log and found them here on amazon and was so happy. I would buy them again.

I had purchased a single log from a local brick & mortar shop and enjoyed it so much that I ordered a case! It lights easily and quickly, lasts the perfect amount of time for an evening and we all really enjoying the crackling sound!

These are great logs. Beautiful flame. Wish they could last for hours longer. I highly recommend them. And yes, they crackle.
