We have a large living room/kitchen/hallway, all open. This product lets you feel a little more heat coming from the fireplace and would work better in a small enclosed room. But the bottom line is that if the fireplace is vented, most of your heat is still going up the chimney. It does look attractive in the fireplace with its reflective sheen and was easy to install, but don't count on it for a lot of heat.

This fireback is awesome. The inside of my fireplace is jet black and dark. The fireback brightens up the room and reflects the flames. It's fun to watch. I'm 100% happy.
