I priced the same thing at Canadian pireplace stores and they wanted $299.I purchased at $49.95. The shippin and duty brought the total to just under $100 but still less than a third of the cost from a Canadian retailer.

This fan was a great replacement for my Majestic Fireplace fan. The unit plugged in to the original wiring. After removing the Velcro from the original fan and placing it on the new fan, the fan fit perfectly and is very quiet.Very powerful and inexpensive solution to very expensive brand specific blowers. The manufacturers sure try to take advantage of people when a universal like this, along with an $6 automatic on/off thermostat switch may even be a better bet.
