Our house is located with a large hill just to the North. When we get a brisk north wind, it comes down the hill and causes major backdraft problems with our woodburning stove and tall, freestanding metal chimney.

We tried many "fixes".. even spent close to a grand installing and wiring-in a Field Controls Type C chimney-top draft inducer. The Field controls unit worked okay for a while, but eventually, carbon build-up on the blades was too much for the small electric fan motor and she stopped running.

Our chimney guy suggested we try the Vacu-Stack, which we did. Hired a cherry=picker to put it on top of the stack.

Conclusion:

PRO The Vacu-Stack is a well-made unit.. stainless steel and solidly constructed. Once in place, we did see a good improvement in the operation of the stove. We did learn that in windy conditions, it is CRITICAL to crack open a window on the side of the house FROM WHICH THE WIND IS BLOWING. this helps to over-pressurize the house and helps the Vacu-Stack do its job.

CON Vacu-Stack literature indicates it is "bird-proof". It is NOT bird-proof! When we went to fireup the stove this fall, we found that sparrows had built a nest inside the Vacu-Stack and had sealed the chimney. Our only solution was to use a Viper chimney cleaning kit and go up the chimney from the bottom. We had to ram the Vacu-Stack hared enough to pop it off the stack and take the nest with it. We are now back to square one until we can get the vacu-Stack back in position. If you install a Vacu-Stack, you WILL have bird problems... so be prepared.

All in all, the best solution we have found thus far to our back-draft problems.

We needed to replace our 15 yr. old wind resistant chimney cap and searched for the same one/kind as it is the only one that will work with our weird downdraft situations. The price was in our range so I ordered. It was a little out of shape on arrival...due to its intricate shape, but not really a problem to put back right. Delivery was timely and we are pleased with our purchase. Would recommend to others.

we were hopeful this cap would work but still have bad issues with back draft. Also birds make their nest in the cap. Too much maintenance. Poor design

I'm a bit of an expert on electric heaters, as I've owned over 200 rental properties and often heat the vacant ones (to prevent freeze damage) with portable electric heaters, rather than turning on gas to the property and firing up the furnace. I ALSO moved INTO a foreclosed home 3 years ago (I live near the US border with Canada) and the home's oil furnace was shot. As much experience as I had with heating rentals with portable electric heaters, I decided to "temporarily" heat my own home that way until I got around to investing in a new furnace. Well...that was 3 years ago and I'm still heating my home with 5 plug-in, electric heaters...because they've worked well enough that a central furnace still hasn't made it to the top of my priority list. I have owned probably 30 different electric heaters, and early on, I figured most were about the same. Boy was I wrong! Price, quality and effectiveness varies as much as it does when buying a new car! The same power consumption DOES NOT equal the same heat output, and while some heaters last for years and years, working 24/7 during the winter, some brands/models routinely break after a few months of working long hours. This heater is one of the top 3 best I've ever owned, and possibly the best FOR THE MONEY. It's as light-weight and easy to move around as as a jumbo-sized cup of coffee, it puts out more heat than I can BELIEVE for such a small unit, it heats one of my 15x15 rooms to 70 degrees when it is 15 degrees outside, and it hasn't broken, frozen-up, stalled, malfunctioned in ANY way yet! The fan noise is a MILD annoyance, but as another review cited, it is a very soft, consistent, non-offensive "white noise" which some might view as a positive. Great value, great product. No fancy digital readouts or super-accurate "set-the-temperature-you-want-and-go" but if you're looking for a tiny, light, dependable, MONSTER of a heat-producer, this IS your heater. By the way, I have NOTHING to gain from singing this product's praises. I just wish I had read a review like this before wasting my money on so many of the garbage units I've bought.

I just got one of these and it's about as basic as such a product can be. Safety was a significant factor for me I don't want any product that gets glowing hot, so I looked into ceramic heaters with overheating protection.

This ceramic heater works, and puts out a significant quantity of heat. The low power setting uses 1000W to avoid tripping circuit breakers. The high power setting uses 1500W. The "thermostat" just controls the duty cycle (heater turns itself on/off frequently; the lower the setting, the more time the heater is "off")

My only complaint is that the fan is a little loud. Not terribly loud, but certainly audible. Perhaps a larger unit with the same power rating might be quieter.

I purchased this item mainly because of the cost (note: I didn't buy this on Amazon.com for a change; found it 1/2 price in-store at a big-box store).

It does the trick as my workspace (approx. 8 x 12 ft.) is colder than the rest of the office. The heater's low setting is ample to heat my feet when I place it under my desk. The high setting is sufficiently heats my office. The heater blows warm/hot air instantly. Good for the price.

On a chilly night, I turn this on and close the door. It cut my heating bill in half. On the few coldest winter nights of the season, it isn't enough. You may need two or three depending on how cold your winters are. You can set the thermostat so that it will shut itself off when it gets warm enough. A ceramic heater heats a whole room evenly like central heat. I got mine at a department store for about $20.

I picked one of these little heaters up at Walmart for $12. I think they might have been slightly more during the dead of winter but not much. It does a pretty good job at heating a small room and is quieter than a big window unit that costs a lot more to run. Now I'll just have to see how long it lasts.

Got this fuel for my indoor ventless fireplace and it was so bad it made my wife and I both nauseous and gave us headaches and we had to leave the condo. Strongly recommend you do not get this for indoor use. I will be requesting a refund for unused portion.

I ordered OzoFire but they send me Co-Z Fire. This product was stinky, very smelly and the air in the house smelled toxic after about 15 minutes. I was happy that it only burned for an hour and a 1/2. Perhaps it would be OK outside but inside even in a well ventilated home it doesn't work. Aside from the fact that I was sent this product without ordering it this is a terrible product. I would have accepted the substitution to avoid hassle if it worked, but it doesn't. The company had no apology but only justifications for their substitution. I was appalled to find out the product Ozofire that they are advertising on their website doesn't even exist anymore yet they still sell it and just give customers whatever they have on hand. They even suggested I was 'too sensitive'. I will be sending the remainder back for a full refund and looking for a more honest company with much better customer service to do business with.

I don't really understand the negative reviews here. I can't smell a thing and this fuel works perfectly indoors on my new decorative mini-fireplace. My burners however have little filters of sorts so maybe that has something to do with it but regardless I've had no problems and like how this product is made in usa and supports local farms.

I bought this hot pot, along with a 4-pack of Melitta Ready, Set Joe kits, for a road trip during which stopping for coffee, tea and hot chocolate was not an option. My executive summary of the product is that it works well (and, for those wondering about product longevity, still works even after multiple uses) and that it can boil water. We're very happy with it.

Read on to find out why I give the product 4 stars instead of 5.

The product description could do a better job of managing customer expectations. While this hot pot will boil water, it does take 35 minutes or so to bring a full 20 ounces of it to a boil. This isn't due to any defect in the product's design. It has everything to do with the fact that a car's 12-volt, direct current electrical system isn't made for high-wattage appliances. My minivan can supply up to 120W per outlet, i.e., up to 10A at 12VDC, which is not very much, and I assume this is fairly standard. In contrast, conventional hot pots draw 3-5 times as much power from household current, which is why they boil water faster.

Other than that, my few gripes about this hot pot are:

1. It comes with a mounting bracket, but no instructions that might give an inkling on how one might use it to attach the hot pot to anything on the inside of your vehicle. We ended up discarding the bracket and placing the hot pot on our center console, which is flat, as well as several other flat surfaces we created. But this requires somebody to watch the hot pot while the vehicle is in motion.

2. The lid and removable drinking cup sit on top of the pot, but don't snap or screw on. So this hot pot is NOT spillproof. See #1 above, and understand that if it tips over while it's in use, somebody might get hurt.

3. The exterior of the pot gets quite hot to the touch during use (although the handle stays nice and cool), so trying to hold it to prevent it from spilling is a bad idea.

4. The inside of the pot quickly builds up scaling from the minerals left behind when water evaporates. There's no way to reach in there with any kind of a brush to clean that out, and the interior surfaces would probably be damaged by such a brush anyway. I recommend filling the pot with white vinegar and soaking it for an hour or so after every trip to keep the scaling under control.

5. Despite what the product description says, don't even think of making soup, hot chocolate or any other prepared food in this hot pot. You will never be able to get the interior clean again if you do. Stick with instant drink and soup mixes, use a mug or bowl and pour the boiling water from the pot into your mug or bowl in order to make these foods.

6. There's no spout, and it's difficult to pour without spilling, so do be careful.

To help put the 20-ounce capacity into perspective:

1 standard mug holds about 10 ounces of liquid.

A typical travel mug holds 12-14 ounces.

A normal size disposable bowl holds 12 ounces.

A large size disposable bowl holds 20 ounces.

A normal size packet of hot chocolate requires 6 ounces of water and gives you about 8 ounces of hot chocolate.

As annoying as these shortcomings may sound, they're minor compared with the comfort and convenience of being able to have real, high-quality coffee (that's what the Ready, Set, Joe kits were for!), tea, cocoa and soup while traveling in places where service stations are few and far between or just nonexistent.

This unit works far better than the Max Burton version. The hardwired plug prevents the unit from shorting out. A cup of water almost boils in about 5 minutes. Would be nice if it were sealable like a thermos, and helpful if the measurements on the side were in cups as well as milliliters. about 250 milliliters to a cup. And like my Max Burton review, Nothing but water in these things. They say soups work in these things but even the protein in milk will burn on the heating elements. ONLY WATER! so instant add water drinks, oatmeal, ramen noodles, mashed potatoes.

I purchased this to use in an RV while boondocking. I have a solar system installed in my RV, and use a 12 volt system, so I needed something to boil water or to at least get water hot enough to make coffee. Well, this hot pot does the job! It definitely boils water with no problem. It takes a while if you have it to the full mark, but that's not a problem for me, as I'm just happy that it works and I don't have to use my propane stove and can now s ave money by using this 12 volt hot pot on power generated by the sun. Works perfect!

UPDATE: When it worked it worked great, but for some reason it stopped heating, but the light still works. I have since requested a replacement, and will return the defective one. I will update in a few months to let you guys know if the new one is still working.

UPDATE #2: I received the replacement unit, and it works fine, but I truly believe the first one stopped working because I left it on after it reached the boiling point, which I guess you need to unplug it at that point. I changed my 5 star rating to a 3 star because you have to really watch this pot or set a timer to make certain it doesn't overheat.

UPDATE #3: Its been 9 months since I've had the replacement unit, and it is still holding on. I heat it up until the boiling point and turn it off. I use the hot water for instant coffee, French press and the mellita drip cones, and all versions do fine with this Hot Pot. I love the fact I don't have to use my propane to heat up water over a stove. This pot has worked wonders for me, but as I had mentioned before.....just don't leave it plugged up too long and it will work wonders for you too. By the way, I noticed on the side of the hot pot is an "imprinted" messages that actually says to UNPLUG the cord as soon as it starts to boil, so that probably explains the failure of the first one. I will up my rating of this product to 4 stars, but now I just use a timer to keep track of the progress. This could be a 5 star product if it had an internal temperature control and wouldn't overheat.

In preparation for a weeklong roadtrip with my son, I ordered this hotpot, planning to be able to warm up our coffee as we drove. Well there is a light that comes on when you plug in the pot, to let you know you have power, however the unit we received was defective. After about an hour of waiting for heat, I decided to see if it could be fixed. It is very easy to take apart. The leads for the heating element were loosely wrapped around the connectors, but not soldered. Having no tools with me in the car, I tried to reconnect the wires by hand, but could not get a good enough contact for it to heat. Final result: Cold coffee and 12v hotpot put in trash.

The Hot Pot heats the water pretty weel, but the cap do not close tight, and the hot water can spill out very easy. I only use once, because I need to make some teas, while working outside and sometimes is difficult to find hot water, but I will never use it again and if I had the possibility to return I could do it, but I don't have the box and the packing list, anyways is not too expensive.

I would like to know, before I bought it, this trouble with the cap.

I purchased this item on Amazon about a year ago, and it has been awesome. The amount of heat given off by this is pretty amazing. We can now use our deck in the spring and fall! Easy to mount and so far has been trouble free.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

I thought this was going to work for the area directly above out hot tub, boy was I wrong. I mounted this 8 foot above the front side of the hot tub and angled it so it would heat the area above everyone's head. While mounting it I was extremely happy from looking at the construction, solid metal, great mounting brackets, along with a long cord.

First off from reading other reviews I kept reading 10 x 10 area, in my test we were hoping for 9 x 7 foot section. I was hoping this would take the edge off from the winds that blow thru in the winter months. The plus would be to provide us with a area directly under the heat light to dry off in the warmth.

That night the temperature dropped to 55 degrees and very little wind. So we were ready to try it out. And i felt this would be a EASY test for this to pass.

Outdoor test minimal wind, covered deck.

After plugging the unit in, I wondered around the hot tub to feel the heat, it was almost nothing more then 6 foot directly in-front of the light. I didn't let that ruin the night so we got in the hot tub, I also started realizing my private area in my own back yard was really under the spot light now. This 1500 watt light produces a lot of visible light.

In comparison, I grabbed a yellow bug light and put it in a shop light. The 100 watt bug light was less to at the most about the same brightness of this heat light. The heat produced was good enough to heat the first 3 feet as if I was a hamburger at a fast food restaurant and nearly non existent 6 foot out. But in comparison, you would be better off buying two satco s4998 heat lights that produce about the same heat and far less visible light for over a $250 savings. Along with saving 1000 watts of electricity.

Garage shop area test.

Final test was to try this out in my garage I mounted this on the ceiling about 9 foot above my shop area, I left this on for 10 mins and came back to find it did an fair-OK job warming a closed area, insulated area. After the 10 min test I was satisfied to say this unit works ok indoors, but is far from the manufactures statements comparing this is a outdoor commercial unit.

In conclusion this unit could work if your goal is to heat and light a small enclosed area. If your goal is to heat the outdoors this is not for you unless you are only looking for a small area outside so one person can smoke in the dead of winter without freezing to death

Recommended product instead, each light can easly take the chill off a 4x4 area, or inside 8x12 x 2 lights

I built an outdoor Pergola that is approx. 12 x 18'. I thought that by purchasing two of these space heaters and mounting them across from on another under the Pergola, they would provide sufficient heating for the space. Upon arrival, I decided to mount just one of the Solaira Outdoor Heaters to test the output of the heat. Unfortunately, the heater seemed to barely work at all? In order to feel the heat, you had to be standing up almost directly under the heater to feel anything at all. I of course, decided not to mount the second one and have returned the unused Solaira Cosy Outdoor Commercial/ Residential Heater. I would suggest that you need a unit(s) to provide ample heating in a relative space such as the Pergola I built, then I would go with one of the larger sized units that are available.

Bought two, one began to smell like something burning, overloaded circuit, fire hazard. My husband and I decided not to use product because we were afraid we'd burn our house down so now we have two of these and the seller will not allow us to return them. Seller is blaming manufacturer. These are expensive to just be sitting in their box, not worth taking a chance our house will catch fire. Very disappointed with the item even more disappointed with the seller.

This is lovely and a good size to hold wood. It matches well with any brass tool set you have. I like the filigree trim which brings it up a notch. Attaching the feat was difficult because the screws seemed to be the wrong size. We put it together flimsily, however, since it only needs to sit on the floor and hold wood it is good enough. A close examination would reveal flaws, but the price is outstanding and from normal viewing distance it is a lovely addition to our fireplace. This fits in beautifully in front of my parent's gorgeous fireplace in their formal living room.

This fireplace is very lovely. It has multiple light and heat settings. It is very attractive!! However, it is also a bit too loud. For the price, I expect it to be quieter. Our other complaint is that the top is not a solid piece, but made of 3 pieces. However, it is cute and looks nice in our corner and I am keeping it, but it was expensive and I wish I could figure out how to quiet the sound a bit.

Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount Industrial Heater 7500 Watt, Model# FUH724

This couldn't have been easier. I chose this heater over a gas model because I had a 220 run right by where I wanted to mount it, but no gas lines even near my garage. There was also a junction box right there that supplies power to my shed (a 2 fuse sub panel for lights and a couple of outlets). My garage is a 2 1/2 car measuring about 34' x 28' with insulation in the walls, but the rafters and ceiling are open. My goal was never to get the entire garage up to 70 degrees and keep it there for the winter, but merely to get it above 55 for about a week so I could finish staining and varnishing the trim work and jams for the windows I replaced a couple of months ago.

My first impression when I picked up the 29 lb. box that was smaller than any computer box I've had in recent years was that there is no way this little heater is going to be able to do the job, but I proceeded anyway thinking that for the price I could get a second one. I ran 10-3 from the junction box down to a wall switch and then back up to where I mounted the heater (with the breaker off). It has very straight forward wiring and simple instructions that were very easy to follow. I flipped on the breaker, fired up the heater, and put it on high thinking that this little guy would probably struggle, but I was very surprised that after about a minute it started cranking out some serious heat. I turned it down about half-way and hung a thermometer at the other end of the garage. The outside temp was around 45 and within an hour or so it was 65 in my garage. I ended up turning it down to low and even with the overnight temp getting into the low 30s my garage has maintained 60 to 70 degrees with no problem.

It's been a little over a week since I got the heater and put it in place and my staining has turned out awesome!

After reading other reviews of this heater, I chose this as the solution for heating my detached workshop.

I had read that the spacing inside was a little tight for wiring the power cord, and this was indeed true. Not a huge deal, but could have been laid out a little better. More frustrating was that the knockout for the 1" access hole was very difficult to remove -much more difficult than in other service panels I've used. One half of it tapped loose pretty easily, but the other half would not even pry out without deforming the side wall of the case a bit A few taps with some body hammers and it was back in shape. That could have been easier, though.

One pleasant surprise I found when reading the included manual is that the unit can easily be configured for any of the following wattages: 3750, 5000, 6250, and 7500. I almost bought the smaller 5000 W unit because I was concerned that my 70 A service to my shop might not be enough to power this heater, air compressor, and other power tools I often use. Now that its installed, it appears to not be a problem, but I wish I had known that it was configurable like this as I would not have hesitated at all buying this bigger unit. If it does trip my main breaker, I can just move a wire jumper or two and lower the heater's power consumption. Brilliant. Of course, it would then put out fewer BTU's, but that's the tradeoff.

In general, I'm impressed with the unit's construction and performance. The fan moves a good amount of air and it fairly quickly raised the temperature of my 864 sq ft shop to a comfortable level. Yes, there are hot and cold spots due to lack of general air circulation, but that could be rectified with small fans in a couple of strategic locations. Using an infrared temperature meter I measured the temp of the floor to be about 47 degrees, objects at mid-height at about 55 degrees, and the ceiling in the middle of the room a toasty 70. That's with the heater thermostat set on one notch above the LO setting (and it's now 25 degrees outside). I'm confident this heater could bring my work space up to 60 or 70 if the thermostat was set higher. I'm anxious to do that test on the next really cold day (has been pretty mild so far this winter). Keep in mind my walls and overhead door are insulated. It would probably not do so well if that wasn't the case. I might consider blowing insulation in the attic space now that I have heat to keep in.

I would definitely recommend this heater to anyone looking for a heating solution for their unheated space.

I needed to heat an un-insulated 2.5 car garage in the Chicago area, enough to do some wood work over the winter months. I picked this model since it was 50% more powerful than the 5000 watt heater that many reviewed. (I knew from on-line heat calculators that I needed as much heat as I could afford for my set up.)

It requires 8/2 wire, with 240v 40 amp circuit. (It actually uses about 32 amps.) I ran 8/3 (since 8/2 wasn't easily available), and installed a 50 amp outlet & cord. (40 amp outlets are not a common size.)

The unit itself is industrial, as advertised. It is smaller than you might expect for 7500 watts. A few suggestions for improvement:

1. Instructions are poorly illustrated.

2. Instructions state that 10 gauge wire can be used for the supply circuit, but 8 gauge is the proper size. (The wiring diagram inside the unit correctly states 8 gauge.)

3. There are two knock-outs for the power supply cable, one on the back, one on the left. Only one of these two is really large enough for a pre-assembled 50 amp supply cord. This will not be a problem if you are instead running 8/2 or 8/3 directly to the unit.

4. The connection terminals in the unit would be much easier to use if not located in the back corner of the unit.

5. Ability to connect remote thermostat would be nice. (Might be possible; if so, not explained in instructions.)

6. Would be nice to have LED indicating that unit is on.

How does it work? Well, I knew that it would be somewhat undersized for my needs, but I have to say I was underwhelmed when I first turned it on--the heat is noticeable only within a very small area directly in front of the unit. The fan is rated at 2x the CFM of the 5000 watt unit, so I expected the airflow to be noticeable more than 10' from the unit.

To illustrate how far undersized 7500 watts is for my needs, I turned the unit on and left the garage door closed and waited to see how long it would take for the garage to heat up. After two hours the snow finally fell off the two cars. 24 hours later the snow that fell off the cars had not yet melted! There wasn't really a huge amount of snow to melt, and the outdoor temperature during this test was not all that cold (about 25 degrees), so even leaving the unit on for extended periods does very little to heat the garage.

Overall, the unit is as advertised but could use some minor improvements. It is not well-suited for un-insulated garages, but that is not a fault of the unit itself.

The physical size of this heater is in no way proportional to the amount of heat it produces. Our garage is 18' x 36' with 13' ceilings. There is insulation, but no sheet-rock covering the framing. The unit is hung in a corner, diagonally, 11' high, and 1' from the side walls. It will raise the temperature in the back half of the structure about 10 degrees in 30 minutes. The fan pushes the air out of the corner strong enough that one can feel the air-flow 30' away. Our goal was to avoid installing ducted (ergo expensive) heat with interior and exterior units, yet find a way to take the sting out of the air to the point we could work/play in the structure. If we plan ahead a couple of hours, we can turn the heater on and come back to a comfortable environment. Goal reached and customers satisfied! The only things missing are a digital thermostat and a remote control, the latter of which would prevent me from having to climb a ladder to make an adjustment. I hesitate to mention that because this product is a great value.

Purchased three weeks ago, this heater exceeded my expectations. I have a two car garage without insulation and I am using the low setting to heat up to 60F. The thermostat works perfectly. I am very happy with this product.

This tool set is pretty nice, given the cost. In a retail store, it would probably set you back around $125 to $150, I would imagine.

When I bought mine, I was originally thinking I might weld the 4 legs together, in order to give it more strength, etc. However, when it arrived, the method they used to hold the legs together was fine. They use a square little cap affair, which has threaded holes on each face this hold the legs 90 degrees from each other to form the support for the tools. Once you secure everything, it's actually quite sturdy.

The entire tool set is heavy duty for sure. It's made in china, but it's not what you'd call cheap at all. Think something you'd get from Cost Plus Worldmarket. The tools have a hook at the top and the end appears to be stamped via a press of some sort to give it a little lip at the end.

Again, overall, it's very nice value for the money. Mine arrived double boxed, which protected all the parts. Even with damage to the shipping box, there's not much that could harm this item. It's solid iron.

The shovel is nice quality and so are the poker and brush. In my case, the head of the brush was on fairly loosely, so I had to tighten it. I just held the brush head between my boots and turned the handle until it tightened down and aligned as I wanted.

The poker is okay, but the little hook on it is a bit long (at least as compared to the one it was replacing). If I ever buy an anvil, I may hammer the hook on the poker into a slightly different shape, but for now it does the job pretty well.

The real jewel of the set is the well made tongs. Growing up, my Dad had a set of those accordion looking tongs, which I hatted. The tongs with this set are really well made and work fantastic. You can use them to easily pickup logs from the fire and move them around. Just having this one tool practically makes the entire cost of the set worth while.

The base (which holds all the tools) is a hair off balance, but it would be a simple matter to adjust the feet. Out of the box, it stands straight up, so no complaints at all. Overall, it looks good and blends in well. Nobody would ever reach for a tool on this set and feel like it's inferior quality or that it's cheaply made or anything. It's heavy duty and gets the job done. It might not look quite as cool as a $700 hand forged set of tools made by a black smith, but for 1/10th the cost, it's the next best thing in my opinion. I have an upscale home and this item does not look out of place by the stone fire place by any means.

I grew up with my grandmother's fireplace set. It was so rickety that the utensils would fall off when placing one back on. This is NOT that set. It is firm, weighty and solid. Simple construction, only had to assemble the stand and that was super easy. The box arrived damaged but the items were unharmed. The thong is nominally awkward but not a deal breaker.

In short I had a lot of hesitations about buying this set sight unseen. I'm glad I did it. Very happy.

I wanted to find a set of fireplace tools that looked decent, took up little space, and would actually work on an ongoing basis without falling apart. This set fits all of those criteria! We're about halfway through the winter, we burn wood in our stove every day, and so far the tools show no wear at all. Primarily we use the poker, but we have also used all of the others at some point. I have not noticed any color fading. They tuck up nicely between our brick and the freestanding stove. It is very easy to pull a tool off and hang it up again, even the ones on the side away from you.

There was some very basic assembly required upon opening the set in order to set up the stand for the tools. It only takes about ten minutes to do and isn't complicated at all. I was worried that it might result in a flimsy stand, but it hasn't. The stand is very sturdy and won't tip over easily. The tools are a bit on the heavy side as you might expect of something made of solid iron. If you're looking for a good quality, hard working tool set, I would recommend these!

I did a lot of comparisons and some really seemed pretty flimsy. This appeared, and turned out to be, a very well made heavy set. Some sets can be very expensive, up to $200.00, but for the money I spent, $58.00 I believe, this was a very good deal.

This is a great set of fireplace tools. We love the squared wrought iron. We love the black finish. The hook handles feel really good in-hand, and these tools have nice weight. Be aware that some assembly of the stand is required.
