We purchased this towel warmer (from Costco online) when our old warmer died after 20 years of use. We tried another towel warmer (a cheaper one) and it was super hot in spots and very cold in other spots so we returned it. This model, wall mounted, has all metal parts, easy installation with two allen wrenches provided and a visible on/off switch at the top.
It has five rails and gets pretty darn hot. So our towels are warm and dry after every use.
We keep it turned on all the time which helps to rid the bathroom of excess moisture and adds a little more warmth to the room in the winter.
Be aware that the option to wall mount or free stand is not available in one box. Ours was only wall mountable and did not have the option to use free standing. There must be two models and the choice is made at purchase time.
This is a nice model and in comparison to other towel warmers in this price range, is a high quality product.

At first I thought it silly of Mrs. Spudman to buy me another firewood carrier since I already had one. However, I have to admit that this one is definitely better than my replaced log carrier. I like this one because the closed ends form a pocket that contains those wood chips, bark, and bits of wood dust that used to fall on the floor when I loaded wood on the indoor rack.
This carrier lasted well over the last winter and served me well too. The strong handles are comfortable to grip and the carrier itself is well balanced so that when properly loaded wood doesn't fall out as I'm carrying a load from the woodpile to the fireplace.

I have had this bag for well over a year now and it is GREAT. Lifts more wood than i can carry myself. Fortunately, my husband, the strong one, is the one who loads up the wood. But the good thing about this carrier is that it has sewn side panels so that if you aren't filling it up, nothing with slip out or "drip" detritus in your path to the fireplace. And if you want to fill it up, it's more than hefty and roomy. I can't imagine a better carrier for the price. Actually, I was surprised at the economical price.

I bought these because I liked the artwork on the box. HOWEVER: first match I tried did not light using the striker panel on the box, and broke off near the head on the second try. I managed to light the second match, but had to hold it near the head to avoid the fate of the first match; it also would not light using the supplied striker panel -I had to use the panel on another box.
Edit to add: After a little ""practice" and a light touch, I have been more successful in getting the matches to light. Since there were no videos or anything of this new product, I was a little hesitant to buy it, but I wanted to have it when I was home for the holidays. It came in a huge box and was well packed. Instructions were easy and I had it together in about 20 minutes. Turned it on and played with the remote controlled light, heat, and flame speed features...and it really looks like a real fire and puts out a good amount of heat. I had it on every day while I was home and was just please to push a button, have a "fire", not worry about wood or ashes or a smokey smell in the house, etc. I would recommend this product!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: I had to update my review to reflect my recent experience with Dimplex a drop from 5 stars to 3 stars. The logs started to flicker and the heater started to randomly cut out after a few weeks of use. I understand that things like this happen, and that it may have been damaged in shipping so I sent an email to customer service to explain the problem. I got a response after a couple of days from someone who gave me a customer service number to call. I called in and waited for over 2 hours, no joke, before someone picked up. The person was very friendly and told me that they would send out a brand new set of logs and it would take 7-10 business days to receive them this was on February 25th. I am writing this on April 14th I just checked the website with my call number and it says that the order is still "In Process". These are a great product, but just be aware of what could happen if you have any problem with them.We had our chimney inspected and it would have cost thousands to make it safe for a real fire, or even a gas fire, so I started looking into other options. I decided on these logs because of how realistic they looked, and I am not disappointed. The inner glow of the logs is so natural looking. You would really need to look closely to notice these aren't real, especially if you put a screen in front.
I already had gas coming into the fireplace, so I capped the copper gas line in the crawlspace and then cut the existing line and used it as a conduit for the electrical. I installed a single electrical connector and hid the wires behind the logs. After doing this, I completely sealed off the chimney since this doesn't need an open chimney and I figured that I may as well seal off a hole and save on heating/cooling bills.
I also purchased 5 pounds of black glass embers which help to make the whole thing look a little more realistic and is a lot cleaner than using charcoal.
The end result is an extremely realistic looking fire that I can have running as ambiance without producing heat, or I can set the thermostat at any temperature I want, as high as 125 degrees, to produce as much heat as I need.
The only complaint I have is that the remote seems to be a little funky, but it is an RF remote, and they tend to not be as responsive as IR remotes. The good thing about RF remotes is that they work through walls and don't need to be pointed directly at whatever you are controlling.
Overall, I highly recommend this unit.

Per the Amazon description, the purpose of this product is to bring your wine to the optimum temperature for drinking enjoyment. It does that very well.
It seems that this particular Waring model and the less expensive Waring model are getting such poor ratings due to unreasonable expectations of the raters. One of the complaints is that it takes too long to do the job. If you put a bottle of 75 F champagne in your refrigerator, it would probably take a couple of hours to bring it down to 40 F. You could put it in the freezer or an ice water bath and it would cool it much faster. But with any of these methods, how do you know when it has reached the correct temperature?
Depending on the temperature differential, it could take anywhere from 10 to 90 minutes to bring your wine to the correct temperature. You just need to plan a little bit in advance.
Yes, it is noisy. It is more annoying than loud. If your place is completely quiet, you will notice it. However, if you have some background noise such as music, you probably will not hear it.
Even if you already are using a dual-temperature wine cabinet to keep your wine, since you can only set it for two temperatures, it probably won't be at the optimum drinking temperature when you take it out. So this chiller/warmer would still be useful.

Since I own and like this product, I thought I would add my opinion to the mix. Yes, it is not the quietest appliance ever created. That's because it's not using a compressor like a fridge. The trade-off is that it's extremely energy efficient. Besides, this is a corded appliance so it's not meant to sit on your dining room table; it sits in the kitchen with your other semi-noisy food appliances.People also complain that it's not quick to chill your wine. Well, they clearly have never owned a thermoelectric product. It's well-known that you are not supposed to put a bottle of wine kept at 70-80 Fahrenheit (in your kitchen) into a wine chiller and expect instant results. The efficiency of a thermoelectric product is based upon many factors: ambient room temperature and starting wine temperature, primarily.
First of all, wine should be kept at 45-55 Fahrenheit. That is the proper storage temperature; period. If you are not doing that already, why you would need this device is beyond me. Who cares if your wine is served at the proper temperature if you ruined it by storing it improperly? So let's say you aren't made of money, and you can only afford a 6-30 bottle wine storage fridge. You are forced to keep a case of your favorite ready-to-drink wine in the coolest part of your basement (60-65 Fahrenheit or so). 25 minutes before you need it, throw the bottle in the fridge for 10 minutes and then stick it in this puppy for the remainder. You will have your wine at the proper serving temperature in no time.
A little bit of RTFM and common sense go a long way. Don't expect miracles from a consumer level product, and you'll quickly see how to make the best use out of them. Do you really think that your favorite high-end restaurant with the visually appealing wine display has 20 of these in a back room somewhere? Of course not. They spend a pretty penny to store and serve wine at the proper temperature. Any sommelier that would allow anything else needs to be fired on the spot.
I would have maybe given this 4 stars, but clearly someone needs to give it 5 to offset reviewers with unrealistic expectations.

I have had this product for about 8 months. I have used it many times over the last 8 months. It chills the wine but It takes too long to get the wine chilled. When I use it I plan ahead and put the bottle in the refrigerator for a while then I use the wine chiller to get the wine to the recommended temperature. This cuts down on the time it takes to chill the wine. Another drawback is that the chiller is kind of noisy.If you have pay full price for this product I might think twice about buying it.

As others have said, it takes forever to chill a bottle of wine. If you're like 98% of wine drinkers, you want something like this for those times when you've picked up a bottle at a store and would like to drink it soon. Based on the owner's manual, expect to chill a bottle of white for at least an hour. For champagne, expect to wait about 90 mins. A fridge or freezer will do the same work in a fraction of the time making this thing utterly pointless. This chiller took over 90 minutes to chill a room temperature bottle of Chardonnay to 47 degrees. That wasn't what I was looking for in a wine chiller, so I returned it. Besides the lengthy chill time, the features on the product were very cool. And yeah it is a little noisy, like a fan working hard.

I recently purchased this tea kettle from Amazon.com.
It is wonderful! The outside of the kettle stays cool while the water inside boils. Heating the water to boiling only takes a few minutes which is nice when you have a hungry preschooler waiting for their Ramen noodles. I love my electric teakettle! I use it all the time. This kettle is great quality for the price, and it heats water FAST. It is also very well insulated and has not affected any surface I put it on. I've had two of these kettles and like the design, the whistle, and the quickness with which it heats. However, both kettles eventually began to leak after a couple of years. If you buy one, I suggest making sure you pour out any remaining water once you've used it, and don't accidentally overfill. I am not sure which caused my leakage, but I'm buying another electric kettle of a different brand this time. Still for the price, I've been very happy with this kettle. It's a great little kettle, but unfortunately there is no on/off switch. It boils quickly and never bubbles over, but I don't like having to unplug it to turn it off.

We thought we knew what rice was supposed to be like when we used our Costco Aroma Rice Cookers--we would just, as a matter of course, replace the old ones with the same brand... Until this time.
After reading up on consumer reviews and Japanese sites, we opted to try the Zojirushi Induction Heating Rice Cooker. The stainless steel is STUNNING--the pictures do NOT do it justice--it is gorgeous on my countertop--a piece of furniture, like the KitchenAid Mixer. It is easy to set up (clock time, etc) and easy to use. (The directions are very clear.) I tried some Jasmine Rice in it for our first try--and WOW! I was totally amazed! Each piece of rice is perfect in every way. I have never had such results before. Perfect temperature, perfect texture, perfect stickiness, perfect taste. The aroma in the kitchen fills the house and it's wonderful.
There is very little steam (unlike most rice cookers) and it is very easy to clean up. It keeps the rice at that perfect temperature for hours--even longer with the extended warm feature.
I know it's expensive--but in this case, I truly believe you get what you pay for. If you want to know what rice is supposed to be like--you must get one of these! Zojirushi makes a couple of different types of rice cookers--and I have heard that they are all terrific. This one cooks with induction heating, which uses magnets... the unit doesn't get hot...

I purchased this rice cooker about a month or so ago. I cannot say enough good things about this rice cooker. It is absolutely fantastic! Everything I've made (rice and non-rice) has come out wonderfully!I have a cook/warm rice cooker that I'm going to sell at a yard sale. I will never be able to go back to using that type of machine again. The difference between the Zojirushi and the cook/warm is more than night and day. The difference between the quality in the rice bowls alone is unbelievable. The Zojirushi has a bowl that is very thick and heavy, not unlike my stove top cookware. My old cook/warm rice bowl feels like one of my cheap mixing bowls.
Prior to purchasing the Zojirushi, we never really cared for brown rice. It was too crunchy/chewy. Now my family and I love brown rice. The GABA Brown Rice setting is amazing. I have never made, nor eaten, brown rice that was so light and fluffy before in my life. Because of that, we mostly eat brown rice now which is much healthier for us anyway.
You will not be disappointed with this machine. It's looks beautiful sitting on the counter top. Clean up is a breeze the stainless has some sort of coating and does not show fingerprints or smears!
UPDATE 08/12/2012: Well, after years of using this fabulous rice cooker numerous times a week, I needed to replace it. I ordered another one because my husband and I love the way this makes brown rice, other grains, and steel cut oats. The rubber seal on our original model was worn out. If we weren't around to take the food out right away, it was drying out and wasn't hot enough. I looked at the new pressure cooker model, read the various reviews, and decided to re-order this model. However, I am going to look to see if I can do something to prolong the life of the seal on my new one.Update: We have owned this rice cooker for about 2 years now and it continues to cook good rice every time. Some Tips:
1. Add 10% more water than is indicated, this will make fluffier rice
2. In order to make Persian-style rice, throw in one tablespoon butter and salt to taste with the water: when used with Basmati rice, this would produce fragrant rice with every grain standing apart.
3. For long-grain rice, use the "Soft" option.
4. Please use it to cook brown rice on GABA setting. Exquisite.

We have had this rice cooker for a week now and have already tried all its settings. It's unbelievable how this cooker makes fluffy, moist rice where each grain stands out without getting sticky. This happens whether you put in Basmati rice, Sushi rice or brown rice. It's astounding how the rice remain fresh, warm and hardly dry out. That was a big change for us, having used no-good Oster rice cookers until we went to a Japanese supermarket and saw how cool and functional this unit looked. We are now eating more (healthier) brown rice and not throwing away any rice the following day. The Japanese sure know how to cook rice.
The menu is simple but offers plenty of choice. The inside bowl is heavy and made of Stainless Steel and has deep and clear marking to help you add the right amount of water without having to use cups. The melodies are a bit of a nuisance, but you wouldn't hear them over your dishwasher, so that's quite all right. The cooker does take twice as long as other, cheap rice cookers, but the ensuing taste is worth the wait.
Without a doubt, the machine is beautiful. If you really want to eat great rice every time and can afford the price, this is your best choice.Yes, this rice cooker is crazy expensive, but worth it. I agree with all the other reviewers that the rice comes out perfect every time, even if you leave it warming for hours. We only eat brown rice, and were disappointed with previous rice cookers that left the rice crunchy, with that disgusting hard crust at the bottom of the pan. With this cooker, every grain is perfect. We also use the "porridge" setting to cook steel cut oats and hot cereal. We do reduce the amount of water the cooker recommends for porridge, to create a thicker end product. This is just a personal preference, however. This cooker is goof proof. The timer is simple to set, and I find the little melody that plays when the cooktime begins and ends to be adorable. Since buying this product, we've been using it several times a week and eating healthier as a result. It's expensive, but take a deep breath and make this investment. You won't be disappointed.Great machine for cooking rice of all kinds. Very easy to clean, too, even when cooking brown rice with azuki beans. Has a steam capturing devise which prevents too much steam from escaping into your kitchen.

I bought this for a client. It did not work for their door. It had too many layers of moldings. The pads could not get a strong grip and could not support the weight of the garland. We ended up using 3M sticky hooks. I did keep it for myself and plan to try it next year for myself. The quality is very nice and it looks good above the doorways.
NOTE: just make sure you have about 3-4 inches of flat surface to mount it. Then is will be great!

I totally love this item, I used to have hooks to hang my Garland but with this holder now, I don't need them, very easy to set up and once you have it set up, you will not need to do it again, because it has a nut and screw that come off at the center that allows it to fold a little, allowing it to release from the area that is on, but you do need at lease 2" on each side for it to grab against. Love it and would recommend to anyone

We have a wood-buring fireplace and always keep a fire-resistant rug in front. Even though we have a screen in place, sometimes a spark gets out when placing new firewood. The rug we had used for several years needed to be replaced. I could not find anything locally, so of course I find exactly what I was looking for at Amazon! The rug is a little larger than the one being replaced, but that is not a problem. It is thickly woven 100% wool and claims fireresistance. Took away a star because I have not used it yet.

I was happy with the way these tongs looked, and they seemed fairly sturdy...but they actually broke within just a few days of them arriving at the house! One of the screws holding the tongs together snapped in half and popped out. We decided to look online for fireplace tongs since they were not available locally. We have used them once since we rec'd them and they work great. No problem moving wood around in the fireplace. They were also a great price. The only problem I have with ordering online is the high cost of shipping. I did quite a bit of research before buying an electric fireplace. I decided the best look for my home would be a cherry, corner unit, and firmly believed that any fire box smaller than 26" wouldn't cut it. This Dimplex unit fit the bill exactly. It was packed and delivered with care. The cherry finish matches the photo exactly, and the fire box is a perfect size with realistic logs and flames. Another positive is that the heater motor is very quiet, and my 46" flat panel TV sits perfectly on top. Now, there are 2 important negatives. Even though it was easy to set up, the entire unit is wobbly unless you anchor it to the wall, and I also believe that all the top end fireplaces I viewed, including the Dimplex I purchased, were over-priced by as much as $400.00. That said, I'm still happy with my fireplace. It looks great.I bought this for my master bedroom and put a 37" TV on it. Its the perfect height and size. It has precense in the room and is the right size for the TV. In addition its great to use in the winter to heat up the master for those mornings you don't want to get out of bed. I also use it in the summer without the heat just for the ambiance the fire creates. The design is simple and beautiful. Its a very clean look and has held up great over the past year. It is wobbly free-standing, but when pushed into the corner it doesn't really move.
