This is a beautiful fireplace set. The detailing on it is very lovely. It is extremely sturdy because of the weight of both the stand and the tools. Measurement were right. No cutting or adjustments made. Have not needed a fire this summer so don't know how it will stand up to the heat. Will have to see.

This heater has two settings, but the low is about the same heat as a hair dryer. The higher setting is, well, like two hair dryers. The switches are on the top left side so they are easy to get to and don't show much. The product description said it had a thermostat and a remote. It does not. I have used it in a 9 x 12 room as back up heat when I turn the house furnace down and I have been comfortable. But the thing about this heater is, it really is so cute you may be tempted to forgive it for it's heat output. You may even want to carry it from room to room, which is what I did. But it wasn't easy. It is pretty heavy for me. It is a flat black metal and a pretty old fashioned design, an arched wheat design, with very realistic flame and glowing coals (even when I replaced the 2 to watt candelabra bulbs with 15 watt bulbs to save electricity.) The weather was so dismal here lately in Colorado, I took it into the living room just to enjoy the fireplace and ended up dragging it in front of the couch and warming my feet with it.

It came in a badly damaged box with a broken leg, which I repaired with JB Weld instead of returning. UPS beat it up, but it did not have adequate packing to begin with. After getting a second electric stove of a different brand, I would say the Vernon was overpriced.

Post Script. I have been using this heater throughout the winter. I suspect it is quite the energy hog. It has tripped my breaker more than once. It would probably be more effective in a very small room, but it does take the chill off the above mentioned room.

I think it will make a very pretty end table with a plant on top of it.

The 3-D Electric Fireplace has been around a couple of years now, but the cost was still fairly high. Now, it has come down to just at $100. The 3-D flame has improved vastly over the earlier drum-light type to the point that it's hard to tell if it is real or not. I bought mine through Amazon.com, and was pleasantly surprised too, at the low shipping costs!

If there is a drawback, it would be that I will have to add my own stovepipe if I want authenticity, but that isn't a real big problem.

I am very, very happy with my purchase!

For many years, I have had a fireplace to add enjoyment to our ND snowy winters---1st, a wood burner, and then a gas fireplace. The woodstove was the real deal, along with messiness and work. The gas(with a remote) was the best---in my opinion--no fuss and yet a real fire. Recently, I moved into a small apartment, without any fireplace. I went looking for the feeling of cozy, a 'pretend' fire, and found it in my new Vernon Electric Stove. The 'logs' shine more than glow, but the dancing 'fire' met my expectations in an electric stove at this price--it gave me cute and cozy, exactly what I wanted. The weather has been too warm to review how it heats, but I turned on the fan and it does blow out heat, so I am sure it will give me the extra heat where I want it.

my friend was going on and on about her new heater and I wondered how anyone could get that excited over an appliance. When I saw it I knew I must have one and as I live far out of the city I ordered on Amazon to be delivered. When the package came I heard some slight rattling in the box, and was very disappointed that it made a constant clicking clunking noise when operating. It worked well, put out great heat at lowest setting and was gorgeous. I remembered I had read reviews that another brand made noise so I specifically order this brand instead.( I took the noise to be just a normal part of the mechanism) I went back online and found a review ( of another similar brand)that referred to the same noise and the guy said he opened it up and the rotating rod was just off its mount. SO I bravely unscewed ( about a dozen screws)the back ( Firesense customer support was available),and it was a simple matter to put the rod back in its place and it works great with only the low fan sound. Im writing this for anyone who may have this experience and save them the trouble of sending it back or returning a great product unecessarily.

We've been using this kettle at work just fine. It's very light weight but has a tall receptacle that holds the kettle well so we're not concerned about tip over.

It boils incredibly fast & has a nice comfortable handle & easy to use lid release.

Make sure you follow the initial instructions to boil 3x letting cool each time, before the first use to remove any foul taste.

The element is not "protected" so we'd expect scale to build up, but that's easily cleaned.

Only gripe is that the filter seems to fall out when tipped upside down. Even so, can recommend this kettle as a low cost but perfectly functional kettle.

It does what it is supposed to do at a good price. Bought two; one for my parents and one for me.

I use it at least 2-3 times per day. Much faster than either the electric stove or gas range although I do miss the whistling kettle sound.

The cordless feature and level window were two of the deciding factors besides price.

Initial downsides, it took several boiling cycles to get rid of the plastic smell. It is fine now. Once the boil is done it doesn't keep the water piping hot for long.

Let's start with context: I'm British so having a kettle is not optional and I have a lifetime's experience of kettles!

When we arrived in the US 14 months ago our accommodation didn't have a kettle and we didn't know any local shops so we immediately ordered this kettle. Less than 14 months later I have had to buy a new kettle as this one became temperamental about switching on a couple of months ago and finally refused altogether. It had always felt pretty shoddy and light-weight on a par with the kind of cheap kettle I took to college some 25 years ago, (very few like this are sold any more t'other side of the pond bottom end of the market only, costing less than $15 final price.) For between $16 and $20 final price you can easily get much better and more stylish ones over there.

Anyway, back to this kettle. On/off switch is very flimsy and easily comes out of its holding clips. It has an exposed element so it gets "furred up" easily. It's base is so flimsy that the plastic covering of the connecting point was already bent and distorted when we received it. Boil time is pretty average, (actually pretty slow if you're used to British kettles.) Scale screen broke within a couple of months when my husband's finger went through it when he was taking it out to clean it.

I have replaced it with a Hamilton Beach one from a famous discount store for $20. It's a far better kettle: sturdier, faster boiling, concealed element, metal gauze scale screen which should prevent accidental breakage, it's the central mount type rather than the jug type which is far more convenient and it's a lot more stylish (shape and it's stainless steal and black.) Spend your $20 on the HB one!

I bought this for my latest tour in lovely Afghanistan at home I have a glass and steel beauty, and I was missing it (and the easy availablity of hot beverages).

I followed the advice of other reviewers, and boiled (the same water in my case it is at a premium here!) three + times before drinking from it. That did the job: no taint of leeching plastic.

It is very inexpensive, the base is wide enough to keep it rock solid on my makeshift table (a scrap of 3/8" plywood held up by nylon cord to the rafters of my tent). I hasn't tipped once in any weather, though trying to seat it on the electrical connector from a seated position next to it is not easy need to be standing to use it properly.

It is well designed doesn't direct hot steam on your hand while you pour, and the little mesh screen that snaps into place to cover the spout does well at keeping dust and bugs out of the kettle. The handle is comfortable to the touch.

I am enjoying this cheapie champion very much, and for the price: you will too. I even think it looks pretty sharp much better than the 220V ugly, steam-throwing no-automatic-shutoff deathtrap I bought in Iraq last time (just because something is made by a German company does not guarantee it is well-engineered!)

This is a great kettle for the price. I have no complaints.

For about a year now, I have been using a Melitta kettle I got at a department store for $20. It is wonderful and gets used sometimes several times a day. I bought this kettle for my office; I assumed for the same price I could get a kettle of equal value. Instead, this kettle works well barely well enough to keep.

Probably the most disappointing thing is the large exposed coil, which looks very difficult to clean and requires that there be at least 1L in the pot for me to feel safe boiling water. It does shut off correctly after water boils, but it is difficult to see the light that is supposed to indicate that it is on, and the base design makes it somewhat awkward to use.

This blower is designed for fireplace inserts with blowers but mine was not designed with a blower. My Osburn insert is quite old and heavy. It does, however, have an air channel underneath, behind and on top for air to circulate on its own. Warm air comes out the top vent but the blower makes it much more efficient. It works so well it heats the room quicker.

There is a small shelf that extends forward at the bottom of the door with about 4 inches of space underneath. The blower fits into this space perfectly. Better than my old 3 blade computer type fan which sat in front of the insert.(it was noisier)

The blower moves room air underneath the bottom and hot air out the top. It makes some fan noise, but not so loud as to be objectionable. All that's left for me to do is to paint the housing of the blower black so that it matches the insert.(No shine) Does what it is designed to do as it upgrades my insert. No worries mate.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program What a wonderful idea, for a food warmer. When I stumbled across this, I wondered why no one had thought of it before. Great for cocktail parties or family get togethers where you want to have multiple hot dishes or dips in an easy to use single appliance. Since each crock holds only one quart, it is rather limiting for dinner side dishes such as green beans, or soups, etc. But it is perfect for dips and hors d'ouerves such as nacho cheese dip, bbq meatballs, spinach dip, etc.

Features include a separate on/off "warming" heat control for each crock, which makes it handy for choosing to either heat a crock or to use it for something cold. When I used it, I pre-heated my dips in a microwave and used the triple dipper as a "holding tank" warmer. And there is no problem with cold crocks next to "warmed" crocks since the heating elements are isolated to the crock's insert surfaces.

Another very handy feature is that this has a built in lazy susan, allowing users to rotate it to the crock they want to dip out of. You can't even tell that there is a rotating base, by looking at the unit, since it is such a well integrated feature. Besides the handy see through glass lids with small handles on top, there is also a traveling plastic snap-on shield that allows you to transport it with contents pre-heated, without fear of spills, since the one piece shield snaps down over the glass lids to keep them in place. And when it is not being used to restrain the lids on each crock, it can be used as a three compartment serving bowl for chips and crackers to set next to the unit. And it is large enough to hold a respectable amount of chips/crackers. It would also be very functional for separating veggies for dipping (carrot sticks, celery, and brocolli).

The only questionable feature is the triangular cubby holes which fill in the spaces between each crock, around the perimeter. These cubby holes have removable inserts, making for easy to clean. However, I have not figured out what to use those for, other than possibly plastic forks or spoons. They are not all that functional for edibles due to the depth and shape of the inserts.

Another thing you need to realize is that this is a pretty large appliance and will have to be stored in a place where space is not at a premium and most likely not in a standard cupboard since it is about 19" wide. This can't be considered a negative necessarily, because, by it's very nature of being utilitarian for its intended use, this has to be the size that it is.

The first time I used this for a party, I had many comments and questions about where I found it. Ladies, especially, were saying "wow, how cool is that....I want one."

It's a good little warmer. It would be nice if the warming pots were bigger.

The warmer also took a little longer than expected to actually warm the contents. We were melting chocolate for a fondue dip, and it took a while for it to melt the chocolate.

So just remember that it's a warmer not a cooker.

The cable storage is nice so you're not tripping over the cable and can use the warmer to serve with.

It is definitely hot enough to cook your food, and it only has one setting "warm".

I would rather use a couple small crocks that will fit in cupboards, and if I leave the house with it, I would try to limit it to one crock anyway, so 3 is a little overkill.

The unit is beautifully designed with three black crock pots each holding a quart, each pot with a clear lid. Another lid snaps over the unit which prevents the pots from bouncing around in the car, let alone projecting if you are taking your goodies elsewhere. (One time I was taking a platter of stuffed eggs to a party, had to slam on my brakes to avoid some jerk and the eggs ended up on the windshield). The top can double as a serving plate for crackers or raw veggies and the unit has three pockets which can each be filled with bread sticks, celery, whatever. A quick twist of the unit spins it around like a Lazy Susan. The Triple Dipper will satisfy a lot of hungry party goers while looking scrumptious and elegant.

Bear in mind that the Triple Dipper is for keeping dips warm, not for cooking as there is only one settingwarmfor each pot. Any uncooked meat must be cooked before putting it into a crock and any dip can be warmed in the microwave, right in the crock pot before putting in place on the Triple Dipper. We tested out the Dipper for this review by creating a very simple but delicious re-fried bean dip, warmed it in the microwave to melt the cheese then placed it back in the Dipper where it stayed warm until we gobbled it up.

The beauty of the Triple Dipper is that everything is organized and together so you can tote it to a party, plug it back in and let `er rip. The Dipper is BIGthree quart crock pots will hold an awful lot of dip and you will give the guests a super grazing area with all the necessities close at hand. You could, of course, put an entree in one pot, vegetables in the second one, and say a chocolate fondue in the third for a complete dinner. Remember, though, the Dipper is a warmer, not a cooker and is not a substitute for a conventional Crock Pot.

The Dipper won't fit in ordinary cabinets and is rather heavy to carry. So the bigness and heaviness of the Dipper need to be considered.

I generally make two dips at minimum when I am bringing dips to a party & I am always faced with carrying two different crockpots. I recently threw a friend a shower and knew I wouldn't have my husbands assistance for carrying items so I wanted a more convienant way to carry my food. I purchased this and LOVE IT! I made the same amount of dips I normally do and they fit perfectly, plus although it was heavy it was alot easier than making multiple trips. The whole unit rotates which is nice if it is on a big table for a party and the cord retracts back into the base which is super convienant. I love this product and am 110% satisfied. I used the three little cup spaces to store the serving spoons for dipping but I am sure you could find alot of uses!

I bought two of these (although not from this seller) and while they work great for heat, after using them for a few days, 1 showed signs of heat in the 12v plug and was replaced with another. The second one was used rather sparingly knowing the first one showed signs of too much resistance (heat) and unfortunately it started to melt in the socket. While I was able to pull out the plastic plug and assorted melted strands, the heat affected the socket, and now it works rather poorly and will only support low current draw devices. Lucky that this plug is an aux plug, so we still have 1 that can support high amperage devices.

I invite the seller to plug one of these in their car... And report back!

Buy 12 Volt Rubberized Electric Car Heater & Defroster with Fan Now

My heater has a problem in my car that may end up being a $700 fix so my mechanic suggested a little heater to help a bit. I bought one of these heaters for $10 in October 2012 and, while it doesn't heat the whole car, it did help keep me warm driving around town. Turn plug it in, set it on the seat next to me, and turned it on. If it was an especially cold night I would place it under a blanket to contain the heat, making sure not to block the intake.

Unfortunately the wiring in the cord and the fuse on the line aren't that great. I think I get about 3 months of use (6-12 hours/week) before they burn themselves out. The first one short circuited and burned up/melted the on/off and fan mechanism. The second one simply will not take a charge any more, died only last night (1/6/2013). If you can get it for very cheap (like I did) then it isn't really too bad.

I bought this item for my master bedroom, which it the coldest room in the house. It is very easy to put together, though having someone help is not necessary it makes it easier. I run it every evening throughout the night and it keep the bedroom toasty and we set the logs to the lowest setting for the warm glow. The fan is a bit loud, but not so much that it keeps me awake.

Very disappointed with this product!! Flames and logs are very unrealistic and disappointing to look at. The wood box and color are nicer then the actual fire and logs. The blower motor makes a lot of noise while on, sounds like it is going to fall apart and stop working. One of the fluted columns were damaged upon taking out of the box. I could overlook the wood damage if the flame and logs were more realistic as advertised. If it didn't take so long to put together and then take apart to send it back I would. The red lights on the switches are annoying. Should've went with one of the products at Lowes. Oh well, live, buy and learn. Will definitely give this one away and purchase something else in a few years. Will try to get my moneys worth. I will say, the heater puts out really good heat and the thermostat works great. Have an old almost all wood interior house. We were struggling with an over sized plant or two that are hung and wanted to move it to another window too. So went in search for a longer bracket and this does the trick. However we hang the plants outside in summer and so would be nice to be able to swing the bracket to the side or even like we do other brackets we have swing them to one side or the other as slight adjustments to where you want it to hang in front of or to the side of the window.

However it is strong enough to hold the planters and it clears the window well which was needed too. And not as expensive as some similar products. We bought two of these and also the similar 12 inch bracket that has a curved down end instead of the curve up. And two deck hanging hooks in wrought iron too. And one 12 inch that curves up and out that does swivel to the side but will use these others mostly outdoors in the summer. If the swivel bracket had come in a longer version that would have been our choice. For the money this 15 inch bracket is right on however and glad we got it.

We bought two of these for home oratories. My husband is an iconographer, and incense is a part of our home life for religious reasons. These brackets (the listing is for only one) are both straight and at a 90 degree angle to the wall. Very well made, and they fit the 1/2" metal ring at the top of our censers. They would also do well for a hanging plant, lamp, or small mobile, I think.

I bought this bracket for the purpose of holding up a bird feeder. It is of a simple & sturdy metal construction and I foresee getting eons of use out of this product. Since I was only asked to rate the ITEM, I gave it an objective and unbiased five stars. The only caveat was the atrocious shipping period. It not only arrived a day late, but it sat in a delivery facility two towns away over the weekend and THREE additional BUSINESS days before it went out for delivery the following day. I received plenty of cross-country shipments (NY to CA) from different companies before, but I can't recall the last time anything took two whole weeks to deliver. I am pleased enough with the product that I plan to buy another just not from this seller. If you're expecting to receive this item in a timely manner, do yourself a favor and buy it elsewhere, even if it means paying a little extra for shipping.
