My wife and I travel 3-5 times a year. We both enjoy either tea or flavored coffees. Hotels and cruise ships do fine for delivering ready made coffee, but hot water is not always hot. By the time it goes into their thermos or pot, then is poured into a cold ceramic cup/mug, it is not at all piping hot! I looooove this gadget! It heats water real quick and it's very lightweight. I am a flight attendant and I fly international and in most foreign countries other than UK and France it is hard to find a Water Heater in the room. It's dual voltage so its a plus for me. I put it in a little puch and throw it in my suitcase and there we go. It's very lightweight and the cord wraps around it nicely.Also it brought a little 110 plug,how sweet.It's been already to Africa and Paris,not that you can't get a great cup of cafe au lait in Paris.But it's very convenient while I'm getting ready having a nice cup of tea or coffee. I'm a frequent business traveler. I've had multiple immersion coils fail after a few uses so as far as I'm concerned they're worthless. Plus they don't work well anyway. This heater does a great job and is relatively small so I can take it with me when I do just carry-on luggage. I've had it for a month and so far it's lasted longer than any coil. If it fails I'll come back and let you know. Highly recommended

I liked this product but nowhere on my box did it say that if you ever let it boil dry or get too hot, it would be PERMANENTLY disabled! Believe me, I looked when mine stopped working suddenly. I only found out what had happened when I went to buy a replacement. Works great but $15 plus shipping is a little steep for a product you can destroy so easily. How hot is too hot? Cheaply made, designed with a self-destruct fuse that permanently kills the unit the first time it senses the unit is hot. Might fail your first use, might last up to a dozen uses, but it's designed to fail pretty quickly. My dad travels a lot and he was looking for something like this which can heat up a cup of water in a jiffy. This does the job beautifully. He lives in an asian country where the voltage is 240V and this worked perfectly. A cup of water comes to a boil in less than 3 minutes ! Pretty darn amazing !!

This interface disk worked great when boiling water in my NON-magnetic tea kettle... And it DOES let you use just about ANY pot or pan you own on an induction cooktop. I thought this interface disk would be a nice adjunct to the old pans, especially popcorn popper that wouldn't work on the new induction oven. I was wrong! Just today, I tried it for the first time on popcorn. When the "test" kernels weren't popping, I checked the temperature of the bottom of the pan. It was MUCH too low. Then I checked the induction plate temperature with both a digital probe as well as infrared temperature. Way Low! I switched to a regular induction pot and the temperature zoomed right up and the popcorn was done promptly. In order to shake the pot and not scratch the glass top surface, I placed a paper towel underneath during cooking. I was really looking forward to purchasing an induction disk so that i could continue to use my non-induction ready pans on my new Kenmore Elite slide in stove. First use, the stove's induction cooktop instantly recognized the disk's magnetic characteristics and kicked right in. A few seconds later the stove went into error mode and the stove completely shut down and would not respond while the disk remained on the burner. The error code would not clear while the disk was on the stove. Once I removed the disk and replaced it with a magnetic pan, the error code went away and the stove resumed to work like a charm. I repeated the process several times. Each time the disk sent the stove into a error mode. Previously and since, the stove works great with all other magnetic fry pans and pots. I don't know why I had a problem with this disk. Perhaps other stoves would not experience the same difficulties.

I got this delivered today. Very fast shipping. A little hard to put together for a woman. One piece got bumped off during shipping but I was able to glue it back. After assembly this fireplace is beautiful. The flames look very real and it puts out good heat. It's also a very good size. I would have given 5 stars but didnt because of the one piece and a few nicks. I would recommend this fireplace. :)

I looked at fireplace tools, but many nice looking ones were quite costly. When looking separately for a firewood rack, I came across this combo and am glad I did. For less than the cost of some tool sets, I got a sturdy clean lined wood rack which also has 4 tools. All I added was a bellows. It's so slim & good looking that I leave it sitting on my elevated hearth, front and center in my main room, loaded with the wood for my next fire.

The unit heats a very large master bedroom in less than 15 min. and its immediate surroundings in about 5 minutes (no kidding). This little heater is mighty. We live in a 900 ft apartment and when this heater is on the furnace doesn't work near as hard. I do wish I had bought the same heater with remote control though. Looks good too.

The thermostat is supposed to regulate the heater so it turns off and on depending on the temperature in the room. Ordinarily we depend on the heat pump part of the air conditioning unit for heat, except that the heat doesn't work well on the A/C at the office/bedroom side of the house. Mostly that isn't a problem since our computers and servers (let's not talk about how many many...) generate plenty to keep the offices warm. But it's not, I can sit 2 feet from it in a 60 degree room and am barely warm, not hot. The fan is somewhat noisy but doesn't blow the warm air very far.
