This is a nice 3-setting standard oil heater, and it DOES have a tip-over protection feature, unlike many. Doesn't make any expansion noises, though the thermostat cycling could wake up light sleepers (just put it on low or med setting and the unit will operate continuously without having to cycle off). Gets hot to the touch not a safety concern for adults but could be for younger children. Not sure what the other reviewer is referring to regarding the u-bolts. It took a sec to figure out how to attach them but they work just fine and hold the wheel bases on securely. My only quibble is that the wheels are not that great not large enough to roll the unit easily.

These oil-filled radiator-type heaters are a real bargain! (and i don't use that word often, or lightly). These things are definite cost-cutters! I have lowered my electric bill for heating from $90 per month, to a varying degree of $30 TO $40 per month, and the $40 bill occurs only when it's especially cold outside. This item runs on 110 Volt wall socket current (unlike the ELECTRICITY-MUNCHING 220 Volt unit in the ceiling, which is actually the A/C unit being used as a heat pump, which is NOT it's intended use, even though it can perform that function, but is SO INEFFICIENT while doing so). I use one of these to keep an entire 800 square foot, 1 bedroom apartment warm-as-needed in the winter, at over 4,000 feet in elevation in northern Arizona. Granted, we don't have winters here like back in my state of origin, Wisconsin. But, when it does get cold here, all i do is crank this baby up to 3/4's of maximum to warm it up, and then lower it to about 50% to maintain the desired temperature, and my electric bill still doesn't reach $50 per month! Quite a break from the old $90 per month! It is NOT recommended that you use a fan with this unit, as blowing air across it messes with the built-in thermostat, but at the coldest times, i do use a small 9 inch fan, set on the lowest speed, either drawing from in front of it, or blowing just over the top of it from behind (you'll find that if you do point a fan directly at it--i did, being me, i had to test it...lol--it will cause so much "SNAPPIN', CRACKLIN' & POPPIN'" that you wouldn't want to continue that VERY noisy way anyway (the internal oil gets cooled too fast as it rises, by the air moving over it from a direct blast from even a small fan, causing it to literally "snap, crackle & pop" when the cooler oil comes back in contact with the hotter oil inside...try it for a few minutes when you get this, you won't hurt it, and you'll see what i mean. It also will snap crackle & pop a bit when it's new out-of-the-box, but this goes away in a few minutes). With a small fan either drawing from the front, from about 2 feet away, or blowing just over the top of it, from about 2 feet behind, you'll have more heat than you know what to do with. And actually, once the room is warmed (and in my case, when all 800 square feet of my 1 bedroom apartment is warmed), it will keep it warm & toasty (sometimes too warm & toasty) all by itself, without any air-flow from a fan. My neighbor, who is our maintenance man at our apartment complex, who lives in a 2 bedroom, 1,250 square foot apartment, introduced me to these on a maintenance call. He uses 2 of these, only because his apartment is a 2 bedroom, with about 55% more square footage than mine. He said he has to be careful not to leave the thermostat set very high, or he "cooks" his family. But, the thing that really got my attention when we talked about these, was that his electric bill went from $120 per month using his A/C unit as a heat pump, to NO MORE THAN $70 per month with two of these, and he said even at the coldest times, he keeps his set at no more than 50%, and uses no fan! Take my word for it folks, if you're looking to save money on your heating bill, whether you have electric-generated heat, or gas-generated heat, or whatever-generated heat, these little helpers WILL save you money! Bank on it! I don't use my heat pump AT ALL anymore! Neither does the maintenance man. And the cost of one unit, for a 1 bedroom apartment, will be recouped in about one month's saving on your electric bill! Same math works for 2 of these units for a 2 bedroom apartment. A great buy! And WAY more efficient than either the ceramic or coil-type forced-air electric heaters. The only thing is, that they don't heat as fast as those other forced-air units, but once they are warmed up, the heat is constant, AND CHEAP!!

The last advice i'll give you is this...BUY THIS IN THE SUMMER MONTHS! I bought mine last July (i waited 'til now to write my review, because i wanted to see exactly how well it performed), because at the time, i paid only $34.99, with FREE Super-Saver shipping, when i bought this in July of 2011! (out of season). During the winter months, when demand for these is up (in season), they go way up in price, but are still worth it at $48.94 (the advertised price as of the time of this review).

Literally, the third time I used it, it gave a visible big spark (it comes with scary electric shortage sound) then died. I think this product can pose fire hazard.

Thinking backward, luckily I was right standing by the heater at the time of incidence (as it was just turned on), so I pulled off the wall plug quickly. Don't know if I was not there what would happen!

I got what I paid for, but certainly not expecting something scary like this.

I end up bought the honeywell type which comes with nice temperature control.

Working very well so far, however, it's not been terribly cold. Like the thermostat control, low and high settings, and the fact that there isn't a fan like many of the room size heaters. Warms a bedroom very well, would actually get too warm on high. Hopefully, it will last more than one season!

These cast iron log rests are perfect for our woodstove insert. I was looking for a fireplace type grate to get the logs started in the woodstove. The wood was hard to get going without a grate for air circulation when first lighting the fire. I was making my own little grate out of different shapes of wood stacking, but it was a real pain. When these first arrived, they seemed too tall, as you could not get double staking of the logs in the woodstove insert on top of the log rests. We used it for a week with one layer of logs before deciding if we would cut the log rests to make them a few inches shorter with a hacksaw, but decided we liked it the way it was. Yes, you can only get two good sized logs on top of the log rests but the air flow beneath gets the fire going really well. You could shorten them if you were really unhappy with the height. After the first set of logs gets going really well, the hot coals fall in the middle, below the log rests and you can even get a smaller sized log in there in the middle after it is going well. They are well worth the money and work very well. We have had them about 2 months and burn a very, very hot fire without any bending or shape changing. It is even easy to clean the fireplace out as they are moved from side to side with ease to clean under them. I have not had a problem cleaning the ashes as these are not super heavy but are super durable.

Pros:

~Fairly realistic flames

~For those of you in hot climates who still want to have the calming effects of a fire, you can leave the "flame" on without having the heat on

~"Flame" height can be adjusted high or low

~Temperature can be adjusted

~Feels oh-so-nice when I get in from being out in the freezing Colorado weather I can switch it on, stand in front of it, and get that warm-clothes-from-the-dryer feeling

~Compact, but not so small as to seem Mickey Mousey

~Lightweight easily moveable to other areas of the house

~Quiet the fan is barely audible

~The unit (on the sides, top, and back) does not heat up can touch without getting burned

~Functional door on the front opens up to reveal control panel, or you can control it with the included remote

~Setup was fast my husband had it done in about 5 minutes

Cons:

~We have about a 15' x 15' living area. It is fairly open (no walls between the kitchen & dining room, so adding approximately another 25' x 15' with those two areas), and so the heater doesn't really "warm up" the room. Which is understandable since the space is as open as it is. It does, however, take that little chill out of the air. The furnace kicks on about half as often as before.

~The cord is pretty short I'd estimate probably about 3 feet so you have to either keep it close to the plug in or get an extension cord.

~Remote doesn't work from too far away, and must be basically right in front of the unit to make it work

~If you're really cold (as I am when I come in from being out in the -4 degree air)you have to stand / sit within 3 feet of it or it won't get you warmed up.

Even with the "cons", I LOVE this little heater. It's been really nice to have to take that chill out of the house and to stand next to when coming in out of the cold!

I got this to heat the end of my hallway and the rooms adjacent to it. Instead of plopping down an ugly old space heater I decided to get this. It's a beautiful decoration and it heats very well the hallway and the rooms near it stay nice and warm, just what I needed! The flame isn't THAT realistic but it's probably the best looking flame in an electric stove. The Dimplex flames look more realistic but the fire looks like it's nearly dead, this one looks like it's roaring and alive.

I got my stove just as the wether started changing. I took it out of the box and it was pumping heat right away, I had many compliments on it and it added the perfect mood to my living room. Until about two weeks after it came, that is when it started making this loud whining noise. I thought it was the heater part but after removing the back I found it was the motor that rotated the flame effect. I just disconnected the motor. I am going to contact Duraflame and see what they are going to do. Bottom line is it's a great stove that puts out lots of heat but it shouldn't start breaking after two weeks of use.

I really am happy with it, have it on for the effect sometimes when heat is not needed. Great purchase.

Outstanding space heater. Much more heat than most other heaters. I think that is because it is just more efficient. . . All the power goes into generating heat, not a motor to oscillate the unit in different directions, like some space heaters. Have used it for several seasons now. No problems. Heats me and the room up very quickly. Sitting in front of it is like sitting in front of a warm and cozy fireplace. Only drawbacks are that it will dry out the room, there is no remote control, and the noise from the fan, while not terribly loud, is enough to keep light sleepers awake at night. I use this one when I want to warm the room up quickly, and then turn it off when I want to sleep, or just use a different model when I want a no-noise no-fan heater for sleeping.

Portable heaters are a mixed bag--they can be incredibly useful and they can start fires. I personally know two elderly women who ran portable heaters continuously at the maximum level . . . until the outlets caught on fire! In most cases, the circuit breaker will trip before this happens, but obviously not in all cases. The biggest trippers of the circuit breakers, where portable heaters are concerned, appear to be those running at high settings of 1000 watts or more. But lower settings under 1000 watts often don't provide enough heat. This Patton has a lower setting (#1) of only 750 watts, and yet feels like a heater running at a 1500 watt setting. Thus, it's an excellent choice for houses that can't handle the higher wattage settings. Although I will never plug any portable heater directly in an outlet any longer, after hearing of outlet fires. I either use a First Alert Fire Shield cord, or an extension cord that can handle 1875 watts. (Using an extension cord that can't handle at least 1875 watts can also cause a fire.) This heater also sells under the brand names of Jarden, Sunbeam and Holmes.

This space heater by Patton does a great job of initially heating up relatively quickly (fifteen minutes or so) and even while it's "warming up" for the very first time it pushes hot air outward into the room you want to heat. True, it doesn't heat larger spaces but on the other hand it's great for heating rooms about the size of my bedroom (120 square feet).

Setup is nothing. Just plug it in and turn the temperature knob (the knob on the right) to one of two settings. I recommend the warmer setting at least initially and then you can lower it after you get the initial blast of heat. As for the other control knob on the left, I turned that all the way up to get the maximum blast of heat. Another plus is that the unit automatically turns off if it tips over or overheats so there doesn't seem to be a fire hazard here.

The heater makes some noise while it's working but it sounds like a fan and some people will definitely like this; that sound actually helps me go to sleep faster at night! If you're a light sleeper, however, this could be a negative.

The only disappointment I have is that the temperature control is just one of two settings; and neither setting is specified by degrees Fahrenheit.

I recommend this space heater by Patton, especially for heating smaller rooms. People who want to heat larger spaces would do well to continue looking for larger and more powerful space heaters.

I used it mostly in the fall and winter time. It worked pretty well. The thing i like most was that it had a automatic cut off, if it ever gets knocked over. I have kids so that was a plus. It heats up pretty quick it doesnt work well in large rooms, but it works more so in bedrooms. I mean dont get me wrong itll heat an entire apartment (600sq ft.) but it wont be toasty just warm enough. I had to retire mine cause the power cord broke off at the very base of the machine. Maybe from being bent to much, not sure. But a good heater. My next one i want it to be more powerful.

I purchased this heater on the recommendation of my wife, who was using it while waitinf for a new furnace to be installed. And my wife said it keep two large rooms warm. I ordered it for myself, and WOW. This heater is worth the money. Even my dog loves it. It has quartz heating, and a fan to blow out hot air. So it really heats a good size room very quickly. The heater starts heating right away, and the heat is going full blast in about 2 minutes. It works very efficiently, and I usually use it on the low setting. The heater is light weight and easy to move around. I will be purchasing another one, because it just works so well. At such an affordable price. This heater can be summed up in just one simple word "awesome".

Intro...

Upon researching various types of heaters for the past week, I came to the conclusion that this heater would be a good pick for a bedroom. I ended up purchasing a Lasko heater for the living room and this DeLonghi Mica Panel Heater for the bedroom. The reason I chose this brand over other mica panels is due to my experience with their products in the past. I've owned a DeLonghi Magnifica Espresso machine, which has worked flawlessly for over 4 years along with a DeLonghi Radiator Heater which has worked just as great. If you dont know much about DeLonghi, they are a European-based company that makes quality appliances, specifically utilizing German-engineering.

Overall Thoughts...

Upon testing out this new technology heater, I noticed that it had all of the great features that a radiator heater had. To add to the conventional radiator heater, it also features instant-on heat while maintaining a low-profile size. Due to the thin profile, this heater can be wall-mounted like a picture frame. However, I'd recommend keeping the heater as low as possible since heat tends to rise, pushing the cold air down. Another great feature about this heater is the quietness during use. Because there are no fans or moving parts, there are no constant noises. A conventional radiator heater makes a considerable amount of noise from the oil dripping inside. So how is the heat output from this new Mica Thermic technology? To put it short, it provides an ample amount of heat similar to an oil radiator heater, but has the advantage of instant heat. This gives you instant warmth when you stand in front of the heater immediately after you turn it on. This is something that you cannot obtain with a conventional radiator heater.

Final Thoughts...

Overall, I'm very surprised at this new technology for heating. It provides all of the great radiation type heat which maintains the temperature of the room quite well, without having to wait. Also, the low profile gives many options on where to put the heater. Lastly, the device is VERY safe. The cage around the heater provides 100% security from being burned, and the front panel can be touched comfortably without ever being burned. However, upon checking the temperature of heat output with an IR thermometer, it provided 300-400 degrees F of heat. Its quite surprising to see those types of numbers, as you can touch the front panel stays considerably cooler than the heat output. The heater also has an auto-off feature if it tips over. A great heater for an enclosed room, however, be sure that the room is around 150 sq. feet or less. Any larger, and this heater will not provide an ample amount of heat. For larger spaces, take a look at the Lasco Space Heater.

This is our third winter with one of these. We'd originally gotten it with couple of Vornados --and, in spite of a CR recommendation, we should've skipped the Vornadoes and gotten two of these. THIS thing really, really works well!

We use it in a 200 sq ft bedroom, with the rest of the house left at 63 at night. On the LOW setting this heater can easily push the room to 80 on a 20-degree night.

A control suggestion (to be followed under your own advisement!):

Right from the beginning I used a Lux WIN100 plug-in thermostat. I removed the sensor and attached a 30-foot extension lead to it. The thermostat and heater are positioned on the colder outside wall, with the sensor on a small homemade pedestal on my wife's night table, on the opposite side of the room. Works perfectly. If you have any mechanical/electrical ability, the modification takes about the same time as writing the description. (I've since learned that terrarium-keepers use the same method (with other heaters, of course.))

We've never used this heater on HIGH. (I would think that without a separate thermostat it could cook you to medium-well overnight.)

On the LOW setting it averages a 30% cycle time set at 69 through the winter nights (as measured with a Kill-a-Watt). So, if it's on for 9 hours/night at 750W, it runs for 3 hours and costs about $0.75/night. (Our oil burner eats 0.6 gal/hour at $3.99/gal, or about $2.40/hour. Heating the whole house to heat the bedroom is obviously nuts.)

Oh --we also have a solar system that averages 10,000 kWh/year, so you get the picture!

The other Lux thermostat kicks the oil burner on in the morning --as this heater gets turned off simultaneously.

Be advised that this heater makes some "crinkly" noises when it heats, especially when new. You'll ignore it by Day 3.

I have a small (700 square foot) house with 12 ft ceilings. When we built it this summer we installed two "whisper quiet" 2500 Watt electric wall heaters, which were fine until it got cold and we actually needed to use them. The noises they made at random times during the night woke everyone up periodically throughout the night. We were going nuts.

I bought this DeLonghi heater thinking that it might at least keep the chill off long enough for us to figure out another 5,000 Watt solution to replace our original heaters. I can't really figure it out, but just ONE of these1500 Watt DeLonghi heaters is heating my entire house. It is COMPLETELY silent. I'm using less energy and the house is plenty warm, even when we've had freezing temperatures. I would buy another one I love it so much, but apparently I only need one! I'm thrilled.

Read Best Reviews of DeLonghi HMP1500 Mica Panel Heater Here

It was overall a good heater. It was slim, didn't take up too much space, didn't make much noise and cranked out a good amount of heat. I've had it for less than 2 years and it's already starting to die, meaning I see little sparks in the machine and it barely provides any heat (and can't even heat the bedroom anymore). I would recommend buying another heater that will get your money's worth because this was Not made to last more than 2 winters (in my experience).

Want DeLonghi HMP1500 Mica Panel Heater Discount?

I've tried several types of electric space heaters radiant heater with resistive wire ribbon, oil-filled radiator, quartz, and now this. This is by far the best. The ribbon and quartz heaters glowed bright orange, lighting up the entire room. The Sunbeam/Holmes quartz tower heater made a rattling noise from the heating elements and also had a fan which was really loud and quite startling when half asleep. I nearly had a heart attack when it came on a couple of times when I was half asleep. It lasted less than 2 seasons due to an unbelievably primitive thermostat which stuttered and turned on/off every few seconds for as long as a few minutes before it stuck in either the on or off mode. The oil filled heater worked OK for a few years until the heat broke the perimeter weld and it began to leak oil on the floor.

This heater is absolutely fantastic so far. It's not absolutely silent like an oil-filled radiator. You can hear a very quiet hum which sounds like a transformer when the thermostat turns the heater on. You only hear it at night when everything is absolutely silent in the room, and it's barely audible. The hum is louder on the high setting, but still quiet. The unit heats up fully within a minute or two and heats up a room as fast as any other type of space heater. It emits no light. The heating element appears to be a heavy paper or fabric sheet which is suspended in the middle of the housing. There's no fan.

The upper knob is the off/low/high switch. The lower knob is the thermostat, which reads 1 through 6. I only use it on the low setting with the thermostat set at 2. It heats up a 250 sq. ft. room with a 10-foot ceiling like nothing when it's 40 degrees F outside. I'm thinking that 1 or 2 of these would heat the main living area of a 2000 sq. ft. house.

It has a recess on the back side in the middle of the upper edge which serves as a handle. It's very light and can be moved very easily by lifting. It has 4 rollers for feet which not only makes it easy to roll around, but keeps it from tipping over if it's bumped, since it will roll out of the way instead of tipping over. It has a tip-over switch which turns it off if it's tilted too much, not that it ever gets hot enough to ignite anything. The tip-over switch makes a rattling noise like something is loose inside if you shake the heater it's not a broken part inside.

Unlike an oil-filled radiator heater, it only emits heat from one side which allows you to move it out of the way and use it without fear of heating whatever is behind it. The back side is so cool that it comes with a plastic bracket which allows you to hang the heater on a wall.

So far this heater is fantastic. I've used it for one season without any issues. I recently bought 2 more and to see if they will in fact allow me to stop using propane central heat altogether. I placed two of them in the living room, plugged them both in and set them to full blast. 10 minutes later, they tripped the living room breaker, so I tried one on full blast for a couple of hours. It took 2 hours to go from 60 degrees to 62 degrees inside. It's obvious that one isn't powerful enough to heat most of the house, and going by the paltry increase in temperature, I'm now sure 2 of them wouldn't cut it either. Oh well.

These work great in a closed bedroom to heat up the whole room. If using on in a large space like a living room, it'll only warm people who are close enough to feel the warmth coming off of it.

Well, got these because it seemed like a good prospect. However.... These are some of the weakest magnets ever. Won't hold on a wall, let alone on a ceiling, especially when your HVAC system comes on. Not only do they not work as advertised, but the seller sells these at a almost DOUBLE the price you can get this exact same item at Home Depot, by the same manufacturer.

After realizing these wouldn't stick on my painted metal registers, I went out and bought unpainted ones, thinking it would work better.... Nope, wasted even more time and money. This product, and the markup the seller adds to the price, is a joke. Don't waste your money.

Although other reviews mentioned the lack of magnetic sticking ability, I found they work just fine. My cold air vents have not been painted...other than the factory paint. Perhaps poor results are found if the vents have several coats of paint? In my case, I carefully placed them over the correct size vent, and they stuck. Still sticking..........

We first purchased the "Large" version of this based on the 1CU FT size. 40lb of Pellets = about 1CU FT. Folks, unless you are Paul Bunyan, I am here to tell you the Large Size is LARGE, easily as tall as a 5 gallon pail and bigger around at the top. I didn't test my theory, but I am thinking you could hold well more then 1 40lb bag of pellets. The small size has better proportions. I am not talking about how much it will hold, I mean that it physically looks better. The large one, aside from being too large, did not look quite right. The proportions were all wrong, it looked kind of goofy, like a caricature or a bucket. This one is perfect. It's the size of a normal water bucket, you know one of those galvanized buckets you use for watering livestock, or carrying grain. Essentially, that's exactly what this is. The only real difference is that it's much more attractive, and has a raised pouring lip. It is heavy duty. I don't suspect I will have any problems for the kind of duty I plan for it. But the rivets that hold both handles on leave a bit to be desired, like they might pull out. However for the hearth and pellet use, I don't see there being much of any issue. And even if they did pull out over time, this is a simple fix with some copper Rivets. Someone mentioned they thought this thing was made of copper and they were disappointed that it was actually just a fancy paint job. Two things. First, no where did the add for this say it was made of pure copper. It says it has a copper finish. If this was made of copper, it would have cost about $300 just for the copper, and who knows how much more for the manufacturing. Second, they mentioned that it's a brown Paint finish. Well, brown is a bit off the mark. It looks very much like the picture shows. And the paint is high gloss enamel. From a distance of about 5 feet, it actually looks like copper with patina. You have to be within a couple feet to realize that it's not actually copper. None the less, this does not detract from the look of it. It looks like,,,, a fancy hammered metal coal hod. It's a bit pricy, but the material is as good as it gets, and it's by far the most attractive Hod we found that fit our needs. There are of course nicer Solid Brass Hods out there. But they would not hold the amount of pellets that we were looking for it to hold. BTW, I believe this will hold a full bag of pellets if filled to the brim. We have a 56lb hopper so it only ever needs to hold up to 30lbs at a time any how. It looks very nice sitting next to our Mount Vernon AE Mahogany. If you can handle the price, you will no doubt like the Hod.

***UPDATE*** After having used this for months now, I can now tell you that it is holding up superbly. But my assumption that it could hold a full 40# bag of pellets was incorrect. It will in fact only hold a lil over a 1/2 bag of pellets. Maybe 25# with keeping them below the lowest part of the rim about 1 inch. Still, this works out nicely as one bag will top off the stove and the hod holds whats left over. At night before bed, I dump the hod into the stove and repeat the cycle again in the morning.

This is quite nice, albeit a bit pricey--so I docked it a star. It is well made and holds about a 1/4 to 1/3 bag of pellets. Nice and handy (not to mention cool looking) to have right next to the pellet stove. TIP: Buy one of those trashcans on wheels to store pellets in your attached garage, so when you need to top-off this bucket, they are handy, and water-proofed. The description says "small" but it's actually pretty good size.

Purchased this kettle back in December and have been using it ontop of my woodstove to humidify the air. First off, what's pictured is a bronze/gold colored handle; however, when I got it, the handle was actually silver. It was a little annoying, but it was no bigie for me. I bought this because it has a porcelain enamel finish so the inside would not rust (as opposed to traditional cast iron kettles without an enamel finish). Well, after about 2 months of use, it began to rust on the inside. I looked at where it was rusting and it appears the inside of the kettle was not completely finished in enamel (looks like they missed some spots in the coating process). Contacted the seller and the only have a 30 day return policy so I'm stuck with it. :( Too bad for me, but maybe not for whoever might read this review.

After having Amazon (Thank you Amazon) replace the first pot because it chipped during shipping due to weak packing for such a heavy item, we received the second pot and it went badly from there. They coat the thing in lacquer, supposedly to deter rust, and my wife spent hours trying to get it off the bottom and out of the inside. She never did get it all.

The top is way too loose and falls to the side and hangs and yes it was put on correctly. When you put the springy handle on the pot you have to be extremely careful not to let the pointy edges touch the pot as it will chip. Ours chipped pushing the handle end through the holes. We were stunned at how easy it chipped.

It is now an ornamental piece because my wife will never use it to heat water for tea and the chipped areas means it will not sit proudly on our wood burning insert hearth. I would look around first and make this your last choice. We are already looking for another pot (different brand) from Amazon.

We purchased this kettle as a humidifier for the wood-burning stove. The color is amazing and the kettle is sturdy. You will have to assemble the handle yourself and we found out why: it easily chips the coating over the cast iron. I made it worse by clipping in the handle, then realizing how it is supposed to assemble (lid loops over rear handle hole, metal ring over lid loop, THEN insert the handle). There were instructions for curing the metal, but not for assembly so in my eagerness to put the handle on I realized my mistake. The beautiful coating chipped putting the handle on as well as taking it off. I recommend the kettle, but just assemble it right the first time.

I have had one of these for about ten years. It's rusty on the inside but the outside finish is flawless. I just polished it. Looks good.

low output blower for the $165 you would think it would at least give off an amount of airflow that was noticeable at 5 foot, especially since it was the one that the fireplace would have come with (got the part # from the fireplace operation manual) Its kinda noisy too. with as loud as it is you would think it would have a decent amount of output. But it was an easy install and the seller and shipping were good.

This heater works pretty good, could move a little bit more air and be a little less noisy at high speed. Was a little difficult to put in but did fit and works.

The quality of this item was disappointing. Originally listed at $500 and discounted to just over $100, this sort of pricing would imply a higher quality fireplace accessory. Unfortunately, this was not the case. A google search of this item offers up retailers selling it at approximately $85.

The frame of the piece was warped and difficult to assemble due to having been warped. I managed to do so after working on it for nearly an hour. Because the frame is uneven a shim is required to keep it still. Additionally, the directions included with this item were for a different version of this item.

While it looks nice, I'm guessing a better quality piece of furniture can be found elsewhere.

This wood holder is strong and sturdy. I can stack enough wood for two night fires, plus there is a shelf at the very bottom where I can add newspaper or the little logs to help lite the fires. Makes it look neat andorganized. It added great decoration to the livingroom. I like having the wood holder and tools all-in-one so that I dont have clutter in my livingroom.

Mine is assembled and holding a decent sized stack of wood. I got this model because I have a small amount of space adjacent to my stove, and I had lost the stand for hanging the tools.

While not really difficult to assemble, my package arrive with no diagram for assembly. I had to look at the picture on this amazon page to see which direction the leg braces mounted. The nuts and bolts are extremely cheap, and it would not take much to strip the screw head. It is best to use a screwdriver to hold the head, and turn the bolt carefully with a 10mm wrench. The bolts are just long enough to get the nut on, and sometimes you have to press the bars together to get them close enough for the bolt to catch.

The shelf is a mysteryit does not attach to anything, it just rests there, and has a mysterious single hole that serves no purpose.

All in all, this is way overpriced for what you getit is really about $30-$40 worth of parts. I looked at a bunch of these on Amazonmost seem to be priced high, and if I lived in a town with a decent sized hardware store, I'd shop there first.

The broom fell apart within a month. It is sturdy enough, easy to assemble, but craftsmanship is lacking. Probably pass on this one.
